Ugliest groundstrokes currently in the game
Who do you think has the ugliest groundstrokes in the game right now?
Rafa's got to be up there on the men's side. Ugly groundstrokes, but thanks to luxilon-type string technology (which pinnacled right as he was maturing, luckily for him), he has muscled his way to several slams. Hewitt's forehand is pretty ugly as well. On the women's side, there are too many to count. |

I used to be bored by Rafa's groundstrokes but now I think they're gorgeous.
Hantuchova's service motion grosses me out. She has accordion head. It's so much easier for me to say whose strokes are the most beautiful. It's hard to be even in the top 100 and have a jerky ground game. |
John Isner

Oh yeah, Isner's game is ugly.
|
Ha! Okay if you look OUTSIDE of the top 100...
|
Murray and Djokovic have funky forehands.
Also, in general, the reverse forehand is something that happens way too much, IMO. Yes, in the top 100. HIDEOUS groundstroke. |

I think the reverse forehand is kind of cool-looking |
Yeah, about as cool looking as squash shots.
|
Karlovic, duh.
And I love me some Kleybanova, but her game is fugs. |
Kleybenova! That's the girl I was trying to remember. She looks like a contortionist with that forehand...almost like she's trying to unscrew her shoulder and forearm from their sockets.

IMO, this discussion begins and ends with one word: Bartoli.
She does things so off balance that I feel like I'm going to tip over just watching her. |
I've never liked the appearance of Del Potro's forehand. He sticks that racquet way out in his backswing.

Alicia Molik. How her shots ever got over the net, I have no idea...
|
Roddick's torque-y forehand, a shot only Nascar fans could love.

Kim Clijsters, groundstrokes entire game is an abomination from hell. http://www.talkabouttennis.com/forum...ilies/evil.gif
But, Kimmie is SO nice, so who cares?!?!? http://www.talkabouttennis.com/forum...ies/cheesy.gif (Just sayin' this to put another daily frowny face on Moose. http://forum.talkabouttennis.com/ima...ilies/wink.png) |
