Pete Bodo has learned that Sony Ericsson WTA Tour CEO Larry Scott is resigning this evening in Miami in order to become commisoner of the Pac-10 Conference. The official announcement is expected this evening.

MIAMI, FL, USA - The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour announced on Tuesday, March 24, that Larry Scott will step down as its Chairman and CEO to become Commissioner of the NCAA's (National Collegiate Athletic Association) PAC-10 Conference, effective July 1, 2009.
