Maybe someone with a future?
Er? Aren't we talking about Australian women's tennis?

Any future, really, not just on the court.

I think a lot that even given her considerable Dokics, Rennae Stubbs has never once told Jelena to take her top off in public. Bad omen there.

I think its also worth pointing out that Monika Wejnert, the girl Jelena lost to, is a pretty highly touted young prospect in Australia.

And Dokic won today!

And now the website reports Monika Wejnert has defeated Sophie Letcher (another junior who is from the same area as Monika). Also, I found out that 16 yr old Monika is coming off a win in a womens ITF event in Perth, becoming the youngest ever Australian woman to win an ITF event, at least since the 90s. She played through qualifying there.

Joseph Sirianni overpowered the world's best 16 year old, Bernard Tomic 6-3 6-1. While Tomic has only won one of his round-robin matches, he is still a chance to qualify for the quarterfinals.

If Colin Ebelthite is unable to gain medical clearance by Friday for a rib injury, then Tomic will take his place in the quarters. Earlier today Ebelthite retired during his final round-robin match against Andrew Thomas. Ebelthite won the first set 7-5, but Thomas was up 2-1 in the second when Ebelthite was forced off.

------------

Go Jelena - Go Joseph !!!
