Default Another senior Taliban leader killed in NATO airstrike.
Public opinion hampering victory seems to be par for the course. For nearly a century now no nation that has started a major war has achieved victory and in the last 50 years or so no nationalist based insurgency against a foreign occupation has lost.

You're right about Tibet & Western Sahara, but the Falklands islands inhabitants are 70% British (mainly descended from Scotland and Ulster) and 30% South American (Chile, and the island of St. Helena) with a few French and Portuguese thrown in, the original inhabitants were chased off by the British in the 1830's, so the war couldn't really be classified as a national uprising as such.

BTW, since the conflict ended over 300 Argentinian soldiers that served have committed suicide, that's half the number of the countries total fatalities suffered as a result of the actual conflict, and the British have seen over 200 suicides.
