No, moderate Muslims aren't harmless bistanders. They're the ruined Fur group in Sudan, the informants who get elements of their health shipped to household members, the girls raped by the Taliban and the Northern coalition, the reasonable students who publish books and make classes simply to be shouted down and silenced by the likes of horselady, the translators working for interpol and the FBI, the ones serving in the American military and working for the Department of Defense, the ones serving in our police departments and the police departments in Iraq. They're, in a nutshell desperate every-day not only without credit, but with individuals lying and saying that they do not occur or that they can't be respected, or that they do not do such a thing. They create bridges and houses and cure people. They behave, they perform, they write books. For many that, they're frequently demeaned and dehumanized by bigots.
