It's intersting, though, if they really thought that they could take on a US-Flag warship. I mean, yeah, it happens in video games and bad movies all the time, so if they were particularly gullible.

Do you think perhaps they didn't realize it was a warship they were attacking? It's the only reason I can think of that they did something this foolish.

Well, it was at night. It was dark. I'm sure they wouldn't have done something that stupid if they would have been aware of what exactly they are attacking.

Or we could just sink every boat. No boats = no pirates.

But after they were captured, I hear they all shouted "April Fools!" and had a good laugh with the US Sailors, and a lunch buffet.
