Like all native born Americans I've only benefitted from three wars in all our history and none of them happened in any of our lifetime's. All the rest are pointless.

as of 9/12 we had a once smoothly operating world economy turned upside down. it was righted and shown to all who cared to notice that you can inconvenience things but not destroy them, that our resolve exceeded those who would challenge it.

I'm still living in the lifestyle I enjoyed before, the jihadi are not.

Those numbers that go up and down tell whether or not people in this country can get a job. If some nation or entity threatens the markets by their actions you have to take them out. This is how you run an empire...

A more pertinent question would be, "What would we have lost if we didn't get involved in those wars?" There is no way we can know what we have can't or "not lost". The question and scenario is flawed.
