Default Rant
Impeachment charges were brought against Bill Clinton for lying under oath about a BLOW JOB. Obviously what he did was wrong, but give me a frieken break - the man wanted some pleasure! It's no business of the state!

Now we have a complete idiot in Washington who has not only deliberately lied to the American people and led an unjust war in Iraq; one that has cost BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of dollars (Oh hey, don't forget, 9 of which magically disappeared!).

If Clinton's people lost 9 billion dollars he would have been impeached under water while sharks gnawed his legs into stumps!

And of course, don't forget! He violated international law and broke the our charter to the U.N. After this, there is of course, his infamous wiretapping on American citizens without a warrant from a judge. He's violating the law once again, and he's getting away from it completly unharmed.

Does anybody have a serious problem with this? What the **** is wrong with our country? How much longer are we going to sit on our asses and let this go on? Somebody has to take a stand. Somebody has to put their foot down and stop this man.

For the good of our country, impeach Bush. Please.

You are preaching to the choir with me. I agree completeely. Unfortunately, Unless the PUBLIC enmass starts to complain, our only recourse is to wait until the democratic wing gets control of the senate.

Gawd, there you go again, bringing Bill Clinton up again. For Christ's sake, he's been out of office for 5 years. Let it go.

By the way, it's called perjury.

The issue has nothing to do with blowjobs or wiretaps. The issue has apparently everything to do with who has majority control of Congress.

Mad, You can say that, but if it was "YOUR (so-called) leader, would you still think it was (only) "all politics"???? or would it be more personal to you?? It is most definitely personal to me.

You are all missing the point. The Republicans, who control congress, head the House Judicial Committe. That committe controls the impeachment process.
So of course The Republicans got the ball rolling and brought their political enemy up on impeachment charges.

By the same token the Republicans still control the Judicial Committe and as such will not allow any action to be taken in reguards to the Impeachment of G.W. Bush.

Why should we impeach Bush, if Cheney is in line for the throne?

I love it! Liberals going off the deep end tonight. Why don't y'all take an overdose of sleeping pills or something?

At least if you were conservative nutcases you could blow your brains out with a gun, the manly way to end it all.

You've noticed it too, eh? Is it a full moon perhaps? A new Internet virus? It certainly is entertaining.

A Republican president plus a Democratic congress would be a very bad thing for this country. That means war and high taxes. What we need is a Democratic president and a Republican congress. That means peace and low taxes.

Based on the last performance of Billy Bob, the terrorists knew they were at war but he did not, or at least figgered he could put it off until after his retirement.

What's so insane about my statement? Everything I said in it was true. You haven't really given done anything more than bash it.

Whats wrong is that you are trying to thwart the will of the people who elected Bush to be President and Republicans to control congress. They do not think that what has done should be impeachable. Neither do their representatives whose job it is to decide whether the President should be impeached. We have a representative govt, not a direct democract or mob rule.

In addition, your reasons for impeachment are:

-he deliberately lied to the american people to go to Iraq
-he wasted billions of dollars on the war
-he violated international treaties and the UN charter
-his wiretapping program is illegal

The problem with all of these statement are they are political and not factual. The president has not been convicted or even charged with any crimes. The numerous intelligence analysies done have cleared the president of any accusation of deliberate misleading in the Iraq war. The UN has never charged or passed a resolution stating that anything the US has done is against its charter. Just the opposite they passed a resolution authorizing us as an occupying force.

The end result here is that you just dont like Bush and you dont like that he won the election. Impeachment is not designed to be used for political discontent. That is what elections are for and you will have your chance this year and in 3 years to make a change. So, nothing you have said has any factual backing to conclude that it is true, and all you have done is bash the president.
