Afghan President Hamid Karzai has said if the United States and Pakistan ever went to war, his country would back Islamabad, drawing a sharp rebuke Sunday from Afghan lawmakers who claimed the country's top officials were adopting hypocritical positions.

The scenario is exceedingly unlikely and appears to be less a serious statement of policy than an Afghan overture to Pakistan, just days after Karzai and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Islamabad must do more to crack down on militants using its territory as a staging ground for attacks on Afghanistan.

"If fighting starts between Pakistan and the U.S., we are beside Pakistan," Karzai said is an interview with private Pakistani television station GEO that aired Saturday. "If Pakistan is attacked and the people of Pakistan need Afghanistan's help, Afghanistan will be there with you."

Besides the fact that this would likely not happen between Pakistan and the US but I am getting really tired of Karzai's shit talking. It's always something with him talking the US down. How about this? We just leave and let him deal with it. See how long he lives without us there. AND he wouldn't even be the president if not for us. He'd be dead or in exile.

If I was President - I'd call him up at least or have Hillary sit him down and be like "Look...the shit talking has to stop." Once we leave the Taliban will probably take over again anyway...

That is how the Afghan people are. They will take and take and take as long as you are giving but they will always do what is in their best interests.

Yeah this makes them look like a bunch of assholes but we should take a lesson from them and start looking out for ourselves instead of playing superman to the world.
