Or maybe when we hear the word "lesbian" we just assume she's hot. Gay Man 1: Creepy gawker that will rape you in a dark alley if you don't watch them at all times, respond with violence if necessary! Gay Man 2: What's his name from Will and Grace Lesbian 1: Experimental hot college sorority chick Lesbian 2: Rosie O'Donnel |

@ Joe, no I don't think its your imagination. Public perception of gay males is that they are promiscuous and deviant (beyond just being gay). It may be that a trial brought about by lesbians would cause less mud throwing.
This is my perception of what society (at lest those that are weary of gays) thinks of when they see gays. Young attractive gay men = over sexed and not serious about relationships Older gay men = serial rapists Young attractive lesbians = would totally let a man sleep with her and her "friend" Older Lesbians = sexually unattractive so they must really love eachother. So in my mind, if I was a lawyer who could choose who he would represent in a an anti-DOMA case, safe bet is on the old lesbian couple. Their relationship is the lest "offensive" to the disenting public and are more likely to recieve simpathy. |

It may be that a trial brought about by lesbians would cause less mud throwing. Most young men, regardless of sexual orientation, are either promiscuous or wish they were. A young gay man wants sex just as bad as a young straight man does, and they're both equally likely to cheat on their partner. Only with young gay men, you've got two partners doing this instead of just one. Not saying women don't cheat as well, but we all know the ability to reproduce, etc; explaining why women are more promiscuous than men. Other than that, what you said is spot-on. |

While the bottom three are pretty bad stereotypes, there is truth to the one about "young attractive gay men." |

The major difference in our society kind of comes from a tendency for the more "religious" members of society hypocritically judging only the latter as "sinful." People have this mentality that straight young males being promiscuous is just "boys being boys" whereas homosexuals are the deep, dark depths of Sodom in humanity. "I'm a virgin - not because I can't get laid, but because I'm doing the right thing". Young attractive lesbians = would totally let a man sleep with her and her "friend" And let's be honest here guys - if your girlfriend writes to you on deployment that she was doing 69s with another chick, would that make you angry... or would you ask her to send pictures next time? XD |

In all honesty, I'd be pissed. Pissed that she's doing it without me.
I actually laugh at most guys who "brag" about meeting women who are bisexual. Most bisexual women don't do three-ways. Most only do either or one on one. If I'm on a first date and a woman tells me that she's bi, the first thing I'm going to do is ask if she does three-ways. If not, I'm done with her. If a woman is straight, I won't ask that of her. If she's bi, I don't want her unless she does three-ways. |

Disability compensation increases if you have dependents. Also does not Feres prevent this type of lawsuit? And if so, why is that? Is it perhaps because female gays are more accepted by American society that male? Or they are more sue happy. |

Which makes me laugh cause if she is disabled how is she working in another job doing the same work (or close to it from what i gathered from the CNN news report i read):? Many members even are retained on active duty for conditions they will receive disability for once discharged. Also does not Feres prevent this type of lawsuit? No. I'm not an expert on Feres Doctrine, but my understanding is that is prevents servicemembers for suing for damages for injuries they got while on active duty. i.e. she could not sue for damages due to her carpal tunnel...She is suing for benefits. Different. |

Funny how the VA works. One the federal civilian side, if you're drawing disability, it goes away if you're found to be doing the same work that you're getting disability for. |

Yeah, it is odd. Just because someone is 100% disabled through the VA doesn't mean they can't work. Females get like 60% for having their girl parts scooped.... Then what would you suggest? Stephen Hawking found work with no problem - but I doubt anyone would seriously suggest a veteran who was disabled to the level Hawking shouldn't receive full disability. I don't know. I just find it odd, here she is working (and proud of it, it seemed from the report) but she is complaining she is not getting enough from the VA for disability due to having a dependant. |
