Why would a Muslim want to be a Republican? That is my question. It makes even less sense than a Jew wanting to be a Torie.

You're a murdering child rapist, but I have absolutely ZERO evidence for it, so instead I'm going to slander you on the 6:00 news.

That's how the FBI works. They throw up a BS list of over THREE HUNDRED Muslim organizations that are supposedly terrorists, and you actually believe them? I think you're smarter than that, you just choose to support it for some ungodly reason. I don't know why.

Why not?!!?X?!?*!

Jesus Christ (please don’t assume the use of that religious epitaph identifies me as a far-right Christian nut job. It was just an expression of amazement)

So that's what we get for serving this country - getting treated like terrorists by the pieces of shit that pass for TSA agents when we get home? Pleeeeeeeeeease.

Easier said than done. Hell, that scientist the FBI falsely accused of orchestrating the anthrax letters took years to get his name cleared.

Funny thing is - Conservatives freaked out when CAIR told American Muslims not to cooperate with the FBI.

I'm not Muslim or Arabic, and I wouldn't cooperate either. Talk to my lawyer. I'm not helping the witch hunt, even if I'm not the target.

What, am I not "Patriotic" enough for you? Blindly support the American government no matter what atrocities they commit?

You're like a robot. At some point in every thread you go into your invariably bring up "desperate".

Explain how this is "desperate"? Because I expect Christians to follow the same standards they hold Islam too?

Frankly, I don't give a shit. Muslims are the victims, Americans are in the wrong.

Why should CAIR apologize for what some extremists did?

I really couldn't care less what you think - if you honestly believe soldiers should be treated like terrorists and Muslims can be slandered with no basis of evidence.
I do think it's wrong how people generalize all Muslims based on the actions of fringe extremists but don't say anything when Christian extremists attack BUT I do not think that the actions of our government are ANY excuse for ANYONE to come to this country and kill innocent Americans. This quote: I'm not surprised by Muslims wanting to come to the United States and blow us up. I'm surprised that MORE of them aren't doing it. We kill thousands of them every year, yet only a handful actually try to retaliate? That is strange to me. This is the kind of crap I get tired of hearing from people. Most recently Tony Bennett is the one to say America brought 9/11 on itself. Really? So those 3,000 innocent people in the towers - not all of whom were Americans by the way - "deserved" to die because of what our government has done? Those people in the Pentagon "deserved" to die? The people on the planes "deserved" to die? They "deserved" having Muslim extremists come over and do that because of some fanatical idea put into their head by a psychopath? I believe that is what was so revealing to the other person and to me, that is the most disgusting thing I ever hear people say. No one in this world "deserves" an atrocity like 9/11 or anything like it to happen to them.

The DHS report that says military members could be terrorists - I don't agree with it. BUT is there the possibility for military members to BECOME a terrorist? Yes - look at Hasan for example. He should be branded a terrorist honestly for what he did. But does that mean ALL of us should be viewed as terrorists just because we serve? No. But they definitely should've taken an extra look at Hasan when they didn't. He was a ticking time bomb waiting to explode and he did.

If you want to blame anyone for the way Muslims are treated, it's the news. EVERY single news outlet on TV will automatically jump to branding them as terrorists. After the attack in Norway, before anyone knew who the suspect was, EVERY 24 hour news outlet was saying "possibly work of Muslim extremists." Then when they find out who the guy is, and it was an ANTI-MUSLIM attack, they had to change gears.

No one should "blindly" follow the government but to just assume they are always wrong, that they are "out to get" people and there are always all these conspiracies is ridiculous. I don't like a lot of the things our government has done in the past or present but I wouldn't want to live in any other country. Go ahead and look around - look at the Iranian pastor who they want to execute just for practicing another religion. We don't do that here. In most other countries, you wouldn't get the opportunity to bash your government on places like this without fear of reprisal. Yes holding the government to task is what makes someone an American but when people make it sound like it's oh so horrible in America, that's when I tell them then go somewhere else. No one is making you stay here if it's sooo bad and our government is soooo horrible to its citizens (and non-citizens who get to fall under the Constitution).

We both know that I have no such desparation. I have already stated my views and countered yours. Yours that actually relate directly and are cogent.

I was actually very serious with my last post and meant every word.
Actually, you ignored all of my points and went off on an irrelevant tangent... not sure what you were rambling about exactly... I think you were trying to imply I was inexperienced or some BS along those lines...

You know, you can POST anything but that doesn't make it TRUE......you get that right?

What part of MY posts were an 'irrelevant tangent'?

Because your post completely ignores all of the points I made, which makes it irrelevant.

Now answer mine.

Well this has gotten pretty circular (and silly).

Oh... I hurt TJMAC's feelings.

In all honesty, I cannot comprehend your agenda here.

How did you hurt my feelings? By snarf I meant spitting out one's mouth contents while reading something completely hilarious. Shrike is particularly adept at eliciting these reactions but his are usually done on purpose.

My agenda seems pretty self-evident…to counter your obvious anti-just-about-everything agenda. At least when you post irrelevant, false, specious, and disingenuous ‘stuff’.

Post on-topic and completely truthful material and I just read and press on.

"Anti-just-about-everything"? You still don't have the slightest clue what I believe in, do you? Grow up.

Well, I suppose to be more accurate I should have said anti-just-about-anything-my-government-does-or-has-done.

Maybe you should review your posts.

Grow up? That's rich. Wait let me quote you..........."Whatever". (there's that visual again)

BTW: How is that you can decide what I believe but no one can do the same about you.

Right, I oppose everything the government does. That's why I support higher taxes, more social services, tighter immigration policies, and more humanitarian aid.

Once again, you STILL have no idea what I believe in. Which says a lot about you - even the blind should know what I believe in by now.

Grow up? That's rich. Wait let me quote you..........."Whatever". (there's that visual again) Your desperation is amusing as always. "Whatever"? That's really the best you can do? Oh I have no doubt you can find plenty of angry things said by me. If you want to waste your time digging them up, fine by me. The fact that you're willing to do it says more about you than about me.

You don't appear to have any particular ideology other than to argue for the sake of arguing.

BTW: How is that you can decide what I believe but no one can do the same about you. Oh, a link to a dictionary. That's cute.

When did I say you can't decide what I believe?

You're free to "decide" whatever you like. In this case, you just "decided" incorrectly. Which leads me to believe you simply are not very bright.

BTW - I think the word you were looking for was "deduce", not "decide".

Notice I said ‘just-about-anything-my-government-does-or-has-done.” Not “What Joe wants them to do”.

Joe, do you realize I was quoting you?

This is getting embarrassing. I am glad though that you got the point about the anger in your posts. It could lead to some self-awareness.

You don't appear to have any particular ideology other than to argue for the sake of arguing.
Or........could be to point our fallacy, hyperbole and rhetoric where I can.

I seem to remember you chastising someone for stating your belief and/or social stance. If you didn’t then I misspoke and apologize. You have never called anyone on that?

Yeah, my posts reveal my lack of intelligence and ‘brightness’. Ya got me!

BTW I meant ‘decide’. As in you made a decision about what I believe in. I suppose deduce would work but I said decide. YOU really don’t want to try to take ME to school about grammar do you? (Hint: irony)

[QUOTE=TJMAC77SP;476677]Notice I said ‘just-about-anything-my-government-does-or-has-done.” Not “What Joe wants them to do”.

I take it you haven't seen my signature? Or for that matter read any of my posts. I FREQUENTLY defend government programs.

I do strongly oppose the wars, our foreign policy, and the military industrial complex... which apparently has led you to the incorrect conclusion that I am some sort of anti-government crusader.

Oh I have no doubt you can find plenty of angry things said by me.
This is getting embarrassing. I am glad though that you got the point about the anger in your posts. It could lead to some self-awareness. What do you believe in?

Or........could be to point our fallacy, hyperbole and rhetoric where I can. The only one showing "hyperbole" or "fallacy" here is you. Here, as well in other threads, its pretty cut and dry what was said, but you generally refuse to recognize it - preferring to concoct some sort of conspiracy theory for what was "really" meant, or what "really" happened.

I seem to remember you chastising someone for stating your belief and/or social stance. If you didn’t then I misspoke and apologize. You have never called anyone on that? I don't recall such an incident. I know I would object to someone like you INCORRECTLY stating my beliefs.

However, certain members here pretty much have me figured out, and can practically read my mind before I even touch the keyboard. In that case, I have no objections.

Yeah, my posts reveal my lack of intelligence and ‘brightness’. Ya got me! Like I said, before you "decide" anything, make sure you are "deciding" correctly.

BTW I meant ‘decide’. As in you made a decision about what I believe in. I suppose deduce would work but I said decide. YOU really don’t want to try to take ME to school about grammar do you? You can "decide" whatever you like - but don't misrepresent what I believe in.

(Hint: irony) Ahhh... you made a funny!
