Default Holder Denies Prior Knowledge of 'Fast and Furious'
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011...t-and-furious/

It doesn't matter who knew what or when they knew it. Obviously there is something broken in the system and Holder, as lead of the Justice Department, needs to address it and fix it so this doesn't happen again.

Can we get some responsible leaders in our government? No - too much?

Candy,

You are absolutely right. Something was broken here. Federal Gun Laws were broken by members of our Federal Government.

It was already unlawful for the ATF to not arrest the "straw buyers" when they were alerted to this activity by the Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) Gun Dealers. Yes, FFL Gun Dealers alert ATF anytime someone is buying a certain amount of Firearms withing a specific period of time.

Further, it's was Unlawful for members of the Department of Justice to aide and abet the sale of Thousands of these Firearms across the Border to Mexican Drug Cartels, which apparently three of these firearms have been linked to the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol Agent, and in all honesty we have no idea how many people have been killed as a direct result of the violation of existing U.S. Gun Laws by these Federal Bureaucrats.

The intent of Operation Fast and Furious was not to help end the drug war in Mexico, as that side of the border is not our problem, nor within our jurisdiction (short of existing legal arrangements) and we already have laws on the books prohibiting the sale of firearms in this manner. The intent of Operation Fast and Furious was to point out we needed MORE Firearms legislation to solve the problem. In fact, this Administration has already made strides to make it more difficult for people to lawfully buy firearms in border States with Mexico as a result of Operation Fast and Furious.

Does anyone believe AG Holder is going to arrest himself? No, and he's already taken strides to promote the top Bureaucrats in charge of Operation Fast and Furious to positions in D.C., I admit one Bureaucrat has resigned to take a higher paying job, but non of these people have been recommended for Investigation for Indictment by a Grand Jury, via Independent and or Congressional means.

Ain't it grand, no one is responsible for anything if they know the right people. Kinda sounds like Chicago Politics to me......., just my opinion.
This is standard practice for politics in general today. All politicians point the blame at someone else. Whether it's Obama and his entourage blaming Bush for everything that's wrong today or for Republicans and Democrats to blame each other - that's all they get done. They're ALL really great at playing the blame game but not one of them can do their damn jobs. All they do is make empty promises.

All I know is we need a clean sweep of all the politicians in D.C. - Keep one or two around so it doesn't all completely fall apart (I mean look at what happened when we did that in Iraq's government and military - got rid of everyone) but we need new people. Set term limits. Make it the way our Founding Fathers wanted it - not as a permanent job. They never could imagine someone would want to be in Congress as a full time job and it didn't start out that way. I mean shoot - half the year they're on recess anyway.
