WASHINGTON — The government’s top intelligence official fumbled the Obama administration’s message Thursday about embattled Moammar Gadhafi’s fate, telling Congress that the Libyan leader will prevail in his fight with rebel forces there. It was the latest in a series of public gaffes for James Clapper, the director of national intelligence.

Hours later, the White House distanced President Obama from Clapper’s remarks. Obama does not think Gadhafi will prevail, a senior administration official said, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss Obama’s position on Clapper’s comments. The official reiterated Obama’s stand that Gadhafi has lost legitimacy and should leave power.

He was giving his honest assessment, which is what he's paid to do. It was only shocking to congress because they were expecting to her the party line, not the truth.

Ex-AF Lt. Gen. James Clapper has continuously shown the world that he is a buffoon just like his predecessor. The man makes off the cuff remarks with no foundation for truth. England, Egypt and now Libya. His nauseating drivel has shown the world how stupid he is and has embarrassed 309 million Americans, including the president. Obummer needs to fire him.

Look on the bright side, at least he heard there are rebel forces trying to oust the supreme dictator for life in Libya. After drawing a blank on England arresting a bunch of terrorists a while back it looks like he's watching the news now anyway.

Clapper is a Muslim sympathizer. He is Obama's right hand man on intelligence matters. Obama is a Muslim. Thank God voters stopped Obama last November and will fire him in less than two years.
