What is your opinion on our stance in the Middle East?

IMO, from a comm side I believe our pull out from Iraq was premature (simply because we just put contractors in our place who will hit the budget harder...and didnt fully pullout...). I imagine those who have roamed the streets and put hands in on the political change may have a different view on this.

As for Afghanistan, i'm not sure we were ever welcome? The western society is a lot different from that of Afghanistan, and many do not have interest in our ways. While many areas have become secure, the Taliban network is still as strong as ever, due to it's ever evolving leadership capabilities. One leader is wiped, and without blinking a new one has stepped up and is just as capable if not more of leading.

Is this a stopable force?

While some grow from learning from the local Afghans, some feel the locals should adjust to western society influences.
