Can someone please, with no anti-Romney or anti-republikan views tell me why I should select the man in the Whitehouse?

What are the president's positive points that makes me want to cast my vote for him?

Depends on your views I suppose.

Social ones tend to favor the current Commander in Chief.

Both candidates believe in State Sovereignty in the area of Gay Marriage, Romney would make a Constitutional Amendment defining marriage between a man and a woman, Obama will not defend the DOMA in courts.

Foreign policy supposedly, although both are rather similar in this regard, Obama is a bit less "hawkish"

Everything else depends on your views of the role of government. Both are pretty close, one is ever-so-slightly more limited in nature (Romney/Ryan in this case)

Affordable Care Act, you love it or you hate it, or you really don't have any real attachment to it whatsoever,

Energy - More of those "other" sources choose Obama, more of the standard choose Romney.

Both parties relish in the demagoguery and let their Super-PACs do the dirty work, both would have their constituency believing they are running a "clean campaign on the issues", both are lying through their teeth.

Romney/Ryan would like to make this a "Referendum on the Economy", evidence shows Obama would prefer to make this a "Referendum on anything but the Economy".

There is always the option of a "negative vote" by going third party.

Not in recent memory at least. A whole lot more money standing behind the big two. Not easy to gain leverage when you don't have the resources to provide a rebuttal against a Super-PAC that portrays as the most racist-misogynistic-communist politician to ever grace Federal politics.

I think AJ hit it on the head. There are a couple differences, but really not that much in it. I guess it's going to come down to 1 of 2 things:

1) What do you think of the people surrounding them, and are you going to focus only on the gaffes made by these people

2) Are you more able to relate the the mega rich white Morman who can't understand what the rest of us live like or the very, very rich black incumbant who wants you to think he is relatible.

I wish we had a parliamentary gov't but oh well. This is not bashing, but if you care about the women in your life you will not vote for romney. The party position on women is clear and unequivocal. I think the president should get another 4 years. Not like there is any real choice out there. I need a drink.

The only answer I can think of would be that you think he will do a better job than Romney. Other than that, unfortunately, I can think of no specifics.

Very stupid. I'm probably going to write in some schmuck. It's disappointing that you are always told how much your vote counts. It doesn't count for anything when I'm stuck voting for the lesser of two evils every time. And if I vote for a 3rd party, it's pretty much a waste, other than to show that I'm not happy with the big two.

I'm with you... Unfortunately I think we're screwede either way. While I've traditionally been a republican voter, I'm pretty close to middle of the road and looking at the two alternatives the "right" seems to be headed more to the extreme end of the spectrum and while I'm all for believing in what you want to believe, but again, moderation is the key and I can't help but be wary of all this hard-line religious agenda, knowing most of it is a front and most of them are hypocrites it is all for show.

What I really think would help the current administration win more votes than anything is to run an above board campaign and stay out of all the negative mudslinging. I don't see how any of that actually sways voters, but it does do a great job of feeding the conspiracy theorists!
