Unintended consequences, or purposefully apart of the plan. You decide. McDonalds is one of many companies who play both sides in the middle. They act like they don't like the regulations, yet succumb to them, then play like a victim. And truly, losing sleep over the effect on their employees is nothing that will have an adverse effect on the economy.
Frankly they could lose market shares, in rapidity, begin to close points. The appetite for hamburgers does not end there. Someone, a private sector type will go into an abandoned McDonalds do it right, and will make a great living, better burger and greater value and life goes on. Bottom line I am dubious about McDonald's being victimized, I am sensing they were in on the fix. |
