Sitting, patiently tapping foot, looking at watch, waiting...waiting....waiting....

Well, shrimp it is then.

Another doomsday fortune teller is unmasked.

repent, repent, repent. Somone remind me Saturday night to go to confession.
I think he already arrived in New Orleans last month. I heard something about the Mahdi Gras.

Do you want a reminder sent every day or every twice a day or 3 times a day or four times a day, or every two hours or every hour, or every half hour...

You'll be forced to repent just to stop the reminders from coming!

But then, I'll have to go repent for being a nuisance...

Oh well, spring has sprung, the grass is riz, I wonder where the Mahdi is?

It is probably to do with global warming, most things seem to be.

Same time, same place next year, perhaps?

The grass is riz, I wonder where the Mahdi is? Yes, priceless! Very good John, thanks for the laugh and a belated Happy Vernal Equinox to you

Peace,
Rick

PS Better use the smilies while they are here and operational

Hey, folks, don't give up hope just yet - the Mahdi might still be coming - between September and November, springtime in the southern hemispere!

Dear Rick,

We'll have to go to the play by the Monachos Players - 'Waiting for Mahdi' - in which two hobo posters (any volunteers) post random thoughts on a certain website whilst waiting for the appearance of 'Mahdi'

Their thoughts will be on ontological themes of eschatology with soteriological implications, and some members of the audience will pm them asking for silence so they can hear 'Mahdi', who will, of course, be coming every springtime.

Does he actually come? Ah, that would be to give the end away. On the other hand, most of the audience, and two cyber-hobos actually know what the end is; they wait for their Lord's coming in glory to judge both the quick and the dead, whose kingdom shall have no end.

In Christ,

John

Actually, I just want to add that World Net Daily isn't a really reliable site from what I've read about it. I wonder if there's another source that can affirm an Iranian prediction of Mahdi?

Yes John,
Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright,
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and little children shout;
But there is no joy in Mahdi-ville, mighty Muhammed has struck out.

It occurs to me that this levity as to the faith of some others would probably, at my university, and, I suspect, at John's, count as harassment!

the mahdi is the antichrist in my opinion. and their view of Jesus in my opinion is going to be a fake Jesus, who will be the false prophet accompanying the antichrist, as Revelations 13 says. but, i have done little research on end times to know if it would be accurate for me to portray it as such.

Dear Andreas,

We'll just have to point out that we are practicing our best postmodern ironic style - and hope someone is fooled!

In Christ,

John
