Default Anglican communion ending slowly
The nation's Episcopal bishops have rejected a key demand from the larger Anglican Communion, saying a plan to place discontented U.S. parishes under international leadership could do permanent harm to the American church.

Dear Bob,

Thanks for this. On the now dormant 'Anglican' thread we have had a long discussion of this (for some of us) very sad issue, where I think just about all that can be said has been said.

As a former Anglican it makes me feel extremely sad, and the arrogance of those western Christians who elevate their liberal and secular ideas over the teachings of the Church is a cause for shame and prayer - and repentance; that last, alas, is not going to come - so the schism will. But it has been a long time in coming.

All very sad.

In Christ,

John
