MALAYSIA - An Indonesian woman's harrowing ordeal as a sex slave came to an end through an unlikely rescuer her captor's wife.
The woman, believed to be in her 20s, was working in the east coast when she met the man in his 30s. He claimed to be an agent who could secure travel documents for her to return home. She followed him to Kuala Lumpur, and he put her up in a condominium in Kepong and told her to stay with his male friend. However, the victim did not receive her documents and flight tickets after a week there. Quoting an unnamed source, Harian Metro reported she was not allowed to leave the condominium for two months and was forced to have sex with the captor and his friends until she became pregnant. Early on Thursday morning, the victim started bleeding heavily, and his male friend sent an SMS to the captor. The SMS was, however, read by the man's wife, who then rushed to the apartment. Her husband came to the apartment, too, and locked everyone inside. But his wife managed to call the police who came to their rescue. City CID director Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah said police were investigating the case under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act. |
