Thaksin's son: Cheap, good food all around us
 

Cheap but good food can be found in front of the Democrat Party's head office, Panthongtae "Oak" Shinawatra said on his Facebook page on Tuesday.

Mr Panthongtae, son of fugitive former prime minister Thaksin, said an acquaintance had recommended that he visit a restaurant near the Democrat headquarters on Setthasiri road, Bangkok.

"Today I had the chance to eat in a restaurant recommended by someone else, before I go to Chiang Mai to take part in a by-election campaign.

"It is a red pork and crispy pork over rice and noodle restaurant called 'Chuchan', and the food there is delicious and the price is only 30 baht a plate.

"Interestingly, the restaurant is in front of the Democrat Party's headquarters. It unbelievable that fine and inexpensive stuff is around us, but nobody talks about it, they just complain: expensive, expensive, expensive," Mr Panthongtae said.

People would all benefit if they shared their knowledge of good places to buy products at good prices, he said. The son of the ousted premier said he will recommend more restaurants to the people in the future.
