Teen slashed 18 times with pen knife during botched robbery

An 18-year-old girl was slashed 18 times with a pen knife during a botched robbery at her home in Kampung Pauh Belukar, Kota Baru, reported Harian Metro.

Ainal Mardiah Mahmud said that during the 2.30pm incident, she had just reached home after visiting her grandmother when she found two men in the living room.

“They looked shocked when they saw me. They then caught me and tied both my hands and legs with a tudung.

“They also tried to stifle me but I kept on screaming despite their threats,” she said, adding that it was then that they became violent and started slashing her left arm with the pen knife.

“They also slapped me. However, they panicked when I continued screaming and fled using a bicycle behind the house,” said Ainal, adding that she later managed to free herself and sought help from a neighbour.
