I believe he killed Natalie Holloway and he killed this poor girl as well.

I personally will never vacation in Aruba because of how they handled this murder.

I don't know anything about Peru or their legal/justice system, but I think I'm going to get an education real soon.

Also, one would assume a Dutch citizen who killed people in Aruba and Peru would generate a tad less buzz in America than one of the most famous Americans ever offing his ex-wife (who he met while he was married) and her 'model' side piece. This is the OJ who is currently in jail for "criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, assault, robbery"

Hopefully, justice will be swift and he'll get what's coming to him.

Just yesterday, I saw a facebook status that wished this guy "cracked his head open in a puddle of AIDS." Pretty ragey.

This makes me wonder how many other women he has killed that no one knows about. In the cases in Aruba and Peru, he killed women still rooted in society, connected with family, friends, and community. I'm thinking back to the killings in the Pacific Northwest in the U.S. some years ago, I think it was the Green River serial killer. I think he targeted marginalized women--homeless, drug addicts, disowned by their families, whom they hadn't had contact with in years. He got away with a number of murders for that reason, namely, no one noticed these women missing. It's possible this guy has other victims out there we might never know about.

Just the smirk on his face makes me want to bash him with a bat in that smug mug. I thought it was odd that he wasn't in handcuffs while being escorted from the police car to the jail.

let's see...

guy who was investigated but never charged with any crime in relation to murdering someone in aruba and now charged but not yet convicted of anything in relation to murdering someone in peru.

ex-NFL football player who was charged and tried for killing his ex-wife+boyfriend in a very public trial and was acquitted, by all accounts because the prosecution ****ed up.

yes, i can totally see the comparison.

okay, really, i can't.

Do I have this wrong? I think I saw a news account reporting that Peru just expelled him from the country. Is that wrong? Didn't Chile extradite him to Peru?

Snide comment aside, Vander Sloot- was saved more than likely by his father. Dude pretty much confessed to knowing what happened and he even alledgely tried getting money from the mother, to find where the body is. I just would have expected more of a commotion since an American female was murdered. So while, it's true he was never charged, his actions and video show otherwise. O.J. on the otherhand was aqcuitted, regardless about how people feel about him.

I would have expected more of a commotion because of who was killed. Anyway....

I wish for justice, not vengence. That's a viscious comment.

Remember, this guy's father was a judge in Aruba. I'm with Cya on this one. I'll never go to Aruba.

I hope to see justice now that it appears he is linked to another murder getting press & it is in a jurisdiction outside his father's influence.

Unfortunately this type of unfair influence doesn't just happen in Aruba. Right here in the U.S. plenty of people never pay for the crimes they commit due to their own money & influence or their families.

Anything happening the the jurisdiction of the living is beyond his father's influence now.

I'm going to bet that Peru is going to do a little bit of a better job than Aruba with the investigation. Aruba blew the investigation probably because their homicide unit probably doesn't get a lot of work. They were woefully unprepared for a real homicide investigation.

Looks like this kid is a psychopath, and his day of reckoning is approaching. He won't have the benefit of incompetent police and high level connections in Peru this time around.
