When was the last video you saw of JD Salinger being alive?

J.D. Salinger was not the head of an international terrorist group.
J.D. Salinger wasn't regularly releasing audio tapes and "videos" making threats to the civilized world.
J.D. Salinger was regularly seen by friends, family members, etc.

For the 50984239th time, absence of evidence IS NOT evidence of absence.
By that logic, The Easter Bunny is alive.

All completely irrelevant. The point is that a person that values privacy can keep it if s/he so desires. Especially in the lawless areas of NW Pakistan where you think some kid is going to make an America's Funniest Home Video about ObL getting a football in the nuts or something.

Besides, if Salinger wasn't regularly releasing tapes and ObL was, then what is your point?? Do you even think about this sh!t before you post it?

By that logic, The Easter Bunny is alive.
Very insightful analysis.

To my knowledge no one has said the tapes released since then were fake.
Why would every mention of contemporary developments be limited to the portions of the video that were frozen?

So, he values his privacy, but he releases tapes for world wide distribution every six months or so?

That's non-sensical even by your lax standards.

I'll spell it out for you and type slowly because you're not very quick.

He values his privacy to the point that AFHVs of him are not made. He values his privacy to the point that candids of him grinding Paris Hilton at the Peshawar Ritz are not released on TMZ. He values his privacy enough that he never shows his face when he does webcam circle jerks on ChatRoulette.

But when he needs to send out a missive, he fires up the ole Beta and jabbers away.

Is that really that hard?

This makes no sense.

Also an abreviation for betamax which was a competing video recorder format to VHS. Beta actually continued to be used up until recently in the pro-market but now more and more its digital at every point in the process.

Default Osama Bin Laden:US responsible for global warming
He also urged a boycott of US goods.

Bin Laden Adds Climate Change to List of Grievances Against U.S. - NYTimes.com

Hmm. Is he getting crazier or craftier in his old age?

One thing's for sure-he's still alive.

you're joking, right?

"Former assistant director of FBI's counter-terrorism division Dale Watson; former Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf; current Pakistani President Asif Zardari; Afghan President Hamid Karzai; late Benazir Bhutto; Israeli intelligence sources; Pakistani and Afghan sources, including Taliban leaders all have reported Osama bin Laden to be "probably dead" since December 2001.

Several independent experts - including former US foreign intelligence officer Angelo M. Codevilla and renowned bin Laden specialist Professor Bruce Lawrence - agree with this assessment, as reported by the Daily Mail last year. In the words of Codevilla, a professor of international relations at Boston University: "All the evidence suggests Elvis Presley is more alive today than Osama Bin Laden."

Are you kidding?

Your article is an opinion piece-whose conclusion is to argue for more rights for Palestinians and Gazans and against the Israeli position. So stop it.

And quoting Pervez Musharaf, Bhutto, and Karzai, the Taliban, and Afghan and Pakistani sources, who have political reasons to deny Bin Laden's existence, is ridiculous.

While there a little bit of technical info in there about potential fakes-for what its worth, our intelligence community disagrees with the conclusions. They have consistently averred that Bin Laden is alive in the lawless region in Pakistan-according to the most recent NIE at the end of the Bush admin.

And each tape makes reference to current or recent events, demonstrating that they were current.

And we don't have a body do we?

Sounds like smoke and mirrors to me, what better way to get away then to declare yourself dead. Still no real proof. Do you take hearsay from Al Qaeda as proof ?

Don't quote Pakistani sources please.

BTW-I think Fox News should be called Fake News or Faux news.

I take it you're new here? Ask Sailaway about my opinions of Fox News.
