I don't think Edwards is gay. I think he's slimy and smarmy, and I wouldn't want him as President just because he makes me think of those ads that come on television late at night, some guy in a suit wanting you to call in and tell them about how you hurt your neck shopping at the Safeway, but I believe Edwards is married with children.

So she's incorrect, and not even that, she used a really horrifying term for homosexuality. Not good.

Not at all. She operates off of insults and ugly stereotypes to appeal to bottom of the barrel sentiments, steretypes and prejudice. Coulter helps liberals IMO by being such a poor spokesperson for conservatives. What you think is a help is a hurt IMO. For example, you mention you are from Georgia in your avatar. If a hypothetical popular liberal Dem speaker from New England called Southerners 'poor white KKK ignorant cousin-banging Jesus freak illiterate trailer trash' to the guffaws of a big convention, would you think that person 'nailed the South in one sentence' or is just a snobby ignorant classless boor as well as the idiots enjoying the
bashing? How many votes would that help get down South? And would it motivate others to vote against people and groups who think that? (For the record those are not my sentiments at all--it is a hypothetical so please do not read into it )
You don't have a case, Edwards is from the South. Try again.

BTW, I don't pay any attention to popular liberal Dem speakers as they all seem to be from Holywood.

That was irrelevant to the example. The example made the point. If you want to help liberals, invite her to every function and party. They may even pay the air fare. Liberals are not really bothered with her--they feign it so they can 'hype' her so she becomes the typecast for conservatives, i.e., boorish idiots. It makes no sense to me why conservatives would want her at any function.

Well, I guess that's why yer not conservative. You just don't get it yet, maybe?
I donno.

Seriously, I don’t look at her as a part of the Right at all. She’s and author blah, blah.
Same goes for those on the left that do the same stuff.

What I do watch is who pays attention to what these folks say and do, write or film.

It provides me with a great deal of insight into which way the Country is headed.

I'm a conservative and I don't get it! She's a moron that only other morons like. If it wasn't for the left keeping her in the forefront with all the controversial things she spews, her popularity would probably die. (That would be a good thing, IMO!)

I BET YOU FOX NEWS WONT FIRE HER!!! Good!!! Maybe Democrats will learn this lesson that NBC NEWS wouldnt fire that Reporter who Mocked our Military. And CBS NEWS wont Fire Andy Rooney for His Remarks about our Military. And FOX SPORTS Wont Fire Pam Oliver on her Racist Comments about Talking about White guys in Front of Minnesota Vikings players. But Oh Yeah ESPN fired Rush Limbaugh because he Mocked the Liberal Media about a Black Quarterback Succeeding When he was Talking about Donovan McNabb. And ESPN Fired Keith Olbermann for his Racist remarks about Black College athletes. But when a Conservitive person makes remarks everyone makes a Big Deal over it.But when Liberals do it they look the other way.Just like Senator Robert Byrd said the N Word right on the senate floor and the look they other way. But when Trent Lott makes a Speech at Strom Thurmonds Birthday about ethics they make him step down.

Those internet questionnaires usually put my political and social views just a tad bit southwest (liberal being west and libertarian being south) of centre. That is probably accurate IMO.

What I was talking about is style, tact, vision, etc. It really has nothing to do with personal differences on views. Did Reagan talk like Coulter calling political opponents faggots, etc for example? Would he have gotten to where he was and been popular had he done so? Not a chance. He was popular because he spoke inspirationally and respectfully. There are rakes of conservative pundits who I enjoy reading and they do effect my opinions by being well grounded.

I find considerable agreement with you on the rest of your comments. To me it is likewise concerning that people often get their opinions from propagandists and activists who are often also untrained sources. For example, to me it is both comical and concerning to watch things like Sean Hannity and Daryl Hannah fight political talking points (the real purpose) on FOX over global warming when neither are trained in the science field to render a qualified opinion and with both having political agendas overriding and clouding the debate. This is where people often get and form their views on global warming, though.

I personally don't believe companies should fire anybody based on something they say or do on their personal time unless it is a crime. The fact that certain organizations are willing to fire people because of their personal views and things they do or say on their own time just proves to me that they aren't right headed.

EDIT: Let me just also remind you that we still live in a free country in which an individual's right to free speech is protected. In the good ole U.S.A. you have a right to be a bigot, you have a right to be a racist, you have a right to hate anybody for any reason and tell the world about it. But in the United States you do not have the right to be free from offense.

Republicans don't do anything about this. She speaks at the same events Republicans speak. She speaks where the Republican base is the audience. I don't think Republicans have a right to hate on her and still consider themselves Republicans because their own party doesn't do a damn thing. She never looses an invitation to these Republican events.

Ya, it's time to finally accept the fact that Coulter DOES represent the Republican view.

Maybe she does. Maybe she doesn't. But she sure is entertaining.

Well, O'Sullivan Bere. I think we may be on the same page.

I think one of the biggest problems we face is many people get there opinion from these propagandist/entertainers or the nightly news. Very few are active in gathering real facts.

That I’m afraid, will do nothing but contribute to the spiral we seem to be in.

Haven't we been over this before? Freedom of speech doesn't extend to a private forum.

I love Coulter and I wish the republicans had a dozen more just like her. I love rush and hannity and oreilly too. Conservatives will finally wake up one day and realize that the hatemongers they've been happy to let run wild because it was politically expedient have actually taken control of the GOP. These people have outlived their usefulness for their original sponsors and are contributing to a left of center resurgence in this country. That's OK by me.

Agreed. But don't you think there's more to it? Don't you think Republicans should finally give her the boot? They don't and that should say something to all of us.
