How come you don't make yourself at home in China? Why do you have to stain a democratic nation with such nonsense?

What you advocate and support has NOTHING to do with the U.S.A. and what the people are about.

America isn't about Us vs. Them. It's about the moral foundations this nation was built on. Nationalism is for simple minded fools that mold the world into simplistic terms so they don't have to deal with the complexities of trying to maintain a level of morality that is constantly challenged by elements you glaringly support. It would be hypocritical of me to condemn al'Quaida's methodology and applaud your comments. Your comments and the al'Quaida's actions are both equally morally deficient. The only way anyone can differentiate this is by the flags they carry.

Steve, the flag you carry holds no inherit moral high ground, therefore, the repugnant views quoted align with that of al'Quaida's. Perhaps the first step in stopping terrorism is to stop acting like them.
What a bunch of blithering idiocy.

With respect to Al Qaeda, it is us versus them. If they get fucked in the process, I'm not planning on losing any great deal of sleep over it...

Being against killing people is a good thing.
It depends entirely on why they're being killed...

You're right. It's so much better when it's unofficial...
When it's unofficial it's a rare occurance. When we declare ourselves to be a torture country, we lose our honor.

I guess you kinda' just skimmed over the "Al Qaeda" part.

We don't pick people up, and ship them off to Guantanamo Bay, just because of their appearance. If we did, it would be a non-stop caravan of people from the Middle East being shipped off to Cuba, and that's just not happening.

Please, that wasn't even a half-assed attempt. Sad you can do no better...

Actually, it would make sense that, if it's unofficial, it would happen more often...

When we declare ourselves to be a torture country, we lose our honor. When, exactly, did we "declare" that we're a "torture country"? Did I miss that particular news conference? Whow as it that stepped up to a microphone and said "We, the United States, torture people"?

When did that happen?

The people we have tortured and released have no connection to Al Qaeda. If they did, we would not have released them. You said it's us vs them and you're happy they are being tortured. Since them isn't Al Qaeda, I asked you who them is. Would you like to answer that? I even gave you multiple choice to make it easier for you.

You're obviously far too enamored with those who would wish to do our country harm; you can't be reasoned with, nor will you grasp simple logic when it's laid at your feet.

You're dismissed; you may go...

Washington is a big fuckin' place, with a lot of people.

Let me ask you, Sam, do you believe that torture hasn't taken place under Presidents whow ere Democrats, or is this just another one of your tired "Sam hates Bush" snits?

Oh, and I support the use of torture if it means saving American lives. Frankly, I don't see an issue there whatsoever...

You have no power to dismiss me oh pompous one.

You've inadvertantly declared defeat with this resort to insults. Well done man, stick to arguing with Christians. You can win those arguments much easier than these.

Those who would do us harm need to be hunted down and imprisoned. Blowing up whole countries does not stop terrorism, it causes it. Picking up innocent brown Arabic speakers and sending them to be tortured does not make our country safer. It makes it less safe.

Here is some simple logic for you. Lowering ourselves to terroristic standards will not end terrorism.

This is a Sam hates torture snit. Your insults and arrogance isn't helping your case. I guess people who condone torture have a lot of hate in their heart. I suppose I should feel sorry.....

Figurative language that only an idiot would have taken literally means that the U.S. has an open policy regarding torture. The AG has also chimed in making it permissive.

The first idiotic assumption on your part was that these 39 people were even al'Quaida or even guilty of any crime whatsoever.

In a country of due process, we respect the law of the land. Unfortunately, you don't see it the same way. The second assumption was to assume a nation that tortures would publicly announce it, as though it is necessary for a leader to concede torture in order to place a torture policy label on said nation.

And here's some simple logic for you (not that anyone expects you to grasp it): Raising ourselves above terrorist standards doesn't stop it, either.

Frankly, I would rather see us lower our standards to their level, for a finite period of time, so we can kill as many of them as possible, then have us maintain our high standards, allowing them to kill as many of us as possible.

Clearly, though, you'd rather see Americans die...
