The Drudge report has a link to an article about Guilani's non-service in Vietnam. I love the reason he got a deferment: he was studying to be a lawyer. Then he got a high lottery number. (Probably didn't inhale, either.)

I don't know what the Republicans are going to do. Guiliani has the highest poll numbers, far ahead of McCain, and he is a gun control, pro choice, pro gay marriage candidate. Well.....until he changes his stance that is, to satisfy the right wing...he's already become a little bit more anti-abortion recently.
I'd like to see him held accountable for neglecting to tell NYers that the air was unsafe to breath, as the EPA informed him. Now hundreds of WTC workers are dead and dying while Pentagon cleanup crews were required to wear masks and are healthy. Where's the investigation? |

Yep. He says he will favor anti-abortionist judges. Giuliani praises conservative judges - Yahoo! News
And at the same time, claims to be pro choice. Rudy Giuliani on the Issues So it's not really a case of flip flop. It's more like he's a liar, one way or the other. Who knows? |

Why does every American Presidential candidate need to have served to be a good leader. If there are two men or women who never served running against each other, the question is, will the country explode? :-O (Do you know the difference between Vietnam & Iraq? Bush had a good plan for getting out of Vietnam.) |

I don't think most people consider military service to be an absolute must for a presidential candidate. I just found it interesting that Rudy's story in the Vietnam era is so similar to President Clinton's. I'll bet the people who made a big deal about that won't even consider it now. |

Rudy is gonna be tough to beat. Get used to his face. His military service is a complete non issue. Did Obambi serve? or Hildebeast?
Not all people that vote republican (or dem) hold the same beliefs. For instance I am pro gay marriage and pro choice - but I still usually vote Republican over Democrat. In the end Republicans want a candidate that can win. If that means Rudy, they'll compromise on a few issues. the pragmatist knows: you don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. |

McW, Gulliani & Clinton are nothing alike or neither are their backgrounds!

Clinton as POTUS was a STILL a Cowardly fucking Traitor punk but also a Treasoer for dealing the fucking Communist Chinese! He should be shot or hung for his crimes! Did I mention Clinton was a slithering fucking Sex Pervert who probably bothers children! Rudy is a Man and as a Vet, I hold no animosity against thiose who didn't serve as long as they backed us or shut their fucking mouth about how the TROOPS were! I.E. McW, Gulliani & Clinton are nothing alike or neither are their backgrounds! I think you'd be taking a little closer look if he was on the other side. Thanks for making my point. Giuliani says he would have gone to Vietnam - Examiner.com PS: What's a Treasoer? Is that like on Arbor day? |

What we are witnessing in the complete erosion of what used to be the Republican Party. You have right-wing anti-gay family values conservatives defending pro-gay move-my-wife-out-so-I-can-move-in-my-young-juicy-fruit-mistress Rudy Guiliani.
I'm applauding. Guiliani is your choice and you go for it damnit. Shit, we're liberals .. what the fuck do we know about being a conservative? You guys are right.. fuck principles, family values, and all the rest of that crap you've been spouting since Newt "divorce my wife on her death bed" Gingrich called for the "Contract ON America". Hell, we aren't smart enough to know that the right doesn't have any choice BUT to support Guiliani. Any poilitician that actually agrees with right-wing politics doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning the next presidential election. McCain is hangin on by the skin of his teeth and the closer he gets to the right, the faster his poll numbers drop. How about Newt? .. Mitt Romney .. flip-flopper extrodinaire? ANYONE a Christian conservative could love .. has NO CHANCE of winning the White House. I'm applauding. |

Uncle Rudi is on record as saying that Jerusalem should be annexed by Israel.
If you want perpetual overseas warfare, limited travel abroad for American citizens and homeland attacks like they're going out of fashion, Uncle Rudi is the Prez for you. Uncle Rudi doesn't just support Zionism, Uncle Rudi IS a freaking Zionist. |

My understanding is he was selected in the draft, and notified of such selection, and then lied to the draft board and left the country. Im of course no expert on law as it relates, but it seems illegal on the face of it. This has plenty of sources for the info: |
