Unfortunately, since 9/11, the primary concern I have is security with respect to porous borders, thus my major concern with illegal immigration. There is a lag between the time that Mexico (and Canada) secure their borders to the level that we do (per NAFTA) and North America reaps the benefits that those who drafted NAFTA envision. In the interim, I believe we need to take more of a hard-ball approach to understanding exacly who is within our borders. Enabling non-documented aliens by offering credit does nothing to ensure security at this point. Bank of America should have waited before taking this move. I suspect they also did not take into consideration the probable Boycott many Americans may practice when making this business decision. Good thing this broke in the news before I changed banks (I was in the process of changing my bank to BoA, not gonna happen, now).

Though I disagree with the practice of BOA, I heard on MSNBC that BOA is going to make the interest rate for these types of accounts somewhere like 28%. I hate to say this, but this is just good business sense. Perhaps the idea of what they are doing is questionable, but it makes sense nonetheless. |

What is more confusing to me is that I understand BofA intend to offer home mortgages to illegals as well. Why would you lend thousands to someone to purcahse real estate in this country when they have no legal basis for residency here? That sounds crazy to me. |

Though I disagree with the practice of BOA, I heard on MSNBC that BOA is going to make the interest rate for these types of accounts somewhere like 28%. That makes it twice as bad for me. First they encourage illegals and then they take advantage of them. B of A sucks. |

Does that make it better for you? They took far more advantage of us than we'll ever do to them. I say B.O.A. is doing something illegal by granting them credit. When I got a bank account and credit cards, I had to sign papers and have a social security number, how the hell are the illegals getting this stuff without the same identity information? |

You're on the job getting paid while you're posting here? Wow! Does your employer know he's paying you to post here? Isn't that stealing your employers money, by doing what you want to do with the time your employer has bought from you? Where do you work? I want to work there too! |

Do you understand the millions of taxpayers money the illegals took from us? I am against employers hiring illegals. I am against banks giving them credit cards and bank accounts. I am against ALL the profit made on the backs of illegal aliens. Obviously our government is all for it. |
