Default Rats battle for sinking ship lifeboats.
A front runner for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination says ex-Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld will go down as one of the worst in history.

Senator John McCain also accused the administration of mismanaging the war.

BBC NEWS | World | Middle East | Leading Republican slams Rumsfeld This guy would just love the chance to run a war all of his own.

I'd give him a little more credit than that. He knows war sucks.

That won't stop him from waging it against the Ayrabs. I've seen his earlier speeches.

Don't get fooled again

I wonder if the nominee is too fucking stupid to understand that the USA didn't start the war .

Alot of dumb motherfuckers have drank so much grape kool-aid that they forgot that Hussein started the war in Iraq.

Yep, I agree. Invading Kuwait was pretty dumb.

The Idiot Son sure started the second one though.

Of course the US started the war. They invaded Iraq, they occupied Iraq. They know own the shitstorm that followed. Why is that so hard to understand?

Barring any monumentally stupid moved by the DNC, their is a slim chance at best of any GOP candidate winning the White House this time around. Then again, the DNC pushed Kerry last time, they surely could have done better.

On the contrary, at the rate the Democrat Party is going, the GOP will sweep the House, Senate, and White House this time around.

How do you figure? The only way this will happen is if the Dems do a far worse job handling the war on terror. By that I mean another major terror attack on the USA, or a new military strategy purseued on the ground in Iraq or Afghanistan that is utterly disasterous, and by that I mean a tenfold increase in casualties.

Speaking of which, what is the Dems' plan for handling the war on terror?

Other than cutting off financial support for our soldiers, that is....

Pretty much the same as the Republicans, I believe. Kill Ayrabs and expand Israel.

You seem to be under the misconception that we didn't. WE DID (rather BUSH did)

Only in your VERY unrealistic opinion.

I remember a number of Republicans who were just as vemonous and ill speaking as you prior to the 06 elections And up to this date, I have only seen one of those people yet to admit their mistake or misjudgement. and he (Jpsartre) doesn't seem to be around much any more. (That's too bad, 'cause except for his oft-times baiting and insulting behavior, I enjoyed our discussions)

The rest of them (like you) have just started on another tack of premature judgements of the democratic congress.

At this point, we have to get our boys out of Iraq. Then, maybe, we can figure out what TWOT really is.

But just a note. At one time I might have chosen McCain at the likely canidate. (assuming we were out of Iraq by then) but as of yesterday, with his Abortion flip-flop, I wouldn't vote for him.

Hey Sal I am curious, what is going to bring about the GOP sweep in your opinion. This seems very unlikely to me except for the circumstances I described previously.

You forgot one Rich. "It's the economy stupid." If the economy goes down the tubes things might change.

One other thing to remember. The last time we had a Dem Senate, House and Presidency, we had double digit inflation, double digit interest rates, double digit unemployment and a weak policy when dealing with terrorists. (the policy was "duck and cover"...hmmm...sounds familiar) Many of you who call Bush the worst President ever are either too young, don't know your history or just drink the cool aid. Jiummy Carter was, is and has been, by far, the worst President this country has had in modern times.

All depends on how the Dems handle the withdrawl from Iraq. If they undermine the soldiers by stopping their resupply and replacement personnel, and strangle our soldiers' abilities, placing them absoulutely in greater danger...

Then it WILL have an effect on 08 in a big way.

If they are smart, and end the war outright and bring the soldiers home...and if the instant massacre of Iraq civilians is not bad and the stealing/controlling of their oil does NOT happen (IE: Iran and Al Quaeda taking the oilfields) then there is a decent chance that they take the Presidency and the houses once more.

It depends on their actions regarding Iraq.
