People Rescued But Highways Still Closed
Portions Of Interstates 78, 80 And 81 In Pennsylvania Have Been Shut Since Wednesday's Ice/Snow Storm What the article doesn't mention is that a huge number of truckers, who generally get paid by ther mile, have been stranded in Pennsylvania since Tueseday. A truck driver friend of mine says she has been stuck at a truck stop in White Haven, Penn. on I-80 since Tuesday night. The ATM's are out of money, people are begging for food, and there will probably be economic reprecussions from major interstates being shut down for so long. What's up with PennDOT? Seem like liberal Governors just don't give a fuck and don't prepare for this kind of stuff. It's the same kind of bullshit incompetence that happened in Blanco's Louisianna. |

I understand the National Guard was going around and checking Voter ID Cards and the " liberals" were taken care of with goumet meals and wine, given fuel for their cars and trucks and the "Neo-Cons like you were left to fend for themselves. Or are you just talking shit like a typical pinko? |

Hey, I know who created this enormous mess... Or are you just talking shit like a good little grape kool-aid junkie? Or are you just disingenuously using sarcasm as a strawman in lieu of a logical argument like all pinkos do no matter what the issue? Or what? |

Yeah, because Ohio has it so much more together which is why your recently deposed governor is about to spend the next decade in jail for corruption. And let's not forget the brilliance of Jim Trafficant. |

What about that whole "going around and checking Voter ID Cards and the " liberals were taken care of with goumet meals and wine, given fuel for their cars and trucks" thing that you claimed. Got a source for that, or are you just telling untruths to the forum? Why are you telling untruths to the forum? Is that just a liberal habit or did you have a specific reason? |

Do you have any evidence that it has anything to do with Clinton? |

C'mon guys. Laying this crap on liberals and Democrat Rendell doesn't hunt. As governor, Rendell must take responsibility but it would be just as easy to blame the Reps here. Everyone knows the real whole picture. PennDOT has been an independent arrogant incompetent agency forever and both parties are responsible for that. The state Congress was totally Republican controlled for the past 12 years and Republican Tom Ridge was in charge for a lot of it. Yet, the Reps supported the illegal pay raise, rose taxes several times, refused to cut property taxes, etc. But, they are always there for nanny state stuff like smoke bans, trans fat bans, etc. And Rendell is libertarian on business. Heck, many Reps even opposed the casinos, wanting the revenue to keep going to New Jersey and the Indian casinos. The problem here, IMO, is that the Reps act like 1970 Dems too much. I often can't tell who is more ideologically Rep or Dem just by the official label. The Dems obviously hold offices and seats here too and have their problems like the Reps, but it is the real crappy system we have that is gerrymandered and rewards red tape beaurocracy that causes these types of dropped balls.
