The plan worked and, according to Spanish officials today, the hijacker, named as Mohamed Abderraman, tumbled over and dropped one of his guns before six men, including a Mauritanian mayor, stormed the pilot's cabin and threw a pot of boiling water on his groin and chest. OUCH!!!

I think it's cool too. I think the hijacker wasn't very sophisticated though so maybe they had a little luck there too. He didn't know if his selection of flights to hijack would make it to Paris or not, he was alone, didn't wonder what the pilot was saying to everyone...

I just want to go give that pilot a hug...great job. And the passengers who apparently didn't freak out and tip off the hijacker...great job.
