Do you hate all Republicans, or just some? How about the Republicans on this forum? |

Yep. It is pretty contradicting of the Democrats. I do think that the Republicans (as much as I hate them) should have a chance to debate. Or are you just hate-filled towards white male Republicans? Have you ever said, "as much as I hate the Democrats"? Or are you just another hate-filled partisan leftist Democrat? |

This is what the majority of Americans want - to end the war. Sure, the majority of Americans wanted our war with the Japs to end. And the majority of Americans wanted our war with the Krauts to end. But at the same time, the majority of Americans wanted our war with the Japs and the Krauts to end via victory. Sadly, today's Democrat Party wants our war with Muslim Terrorists to end with America's defeat. Today's sicko Democrat Party never passes resolutions calling for our soldiers to win in Iraq. Today's cowardly Democrat Party never introduces resolutions calling for our soldiers to defeat our enemies. No, today's Democrat Party is useless when it comes to national defense. |

What is hilarious is that the New Libs acted as if their Speaker spoke with a golden tongue and that the spittle from her mouth came in the shape of halos....
Now they see that she is a failure in her first and most important pledges having either lied to all the Libs who supported her or simply being inept at her job. Wonder which it is? Either way, she has shown her true colors in a very short time-frame. She meant nothing that she said concerning the "New Democrats" and their "pledges of bipartisanship and renewed ethics" |

Do you hate all Republicans? Even the black ones? Even the female ones? Secondly, I think that Republicans have done far more damage than Democrats. I don't agree with their policies and I think they have failed at their job. It doesn't mean that I am Democrat. I admit when they do wrong as well. I'm completely independent, so long as it's not a Republican. One thing you need to learn is Democrats take it out of one pocket - Republicans take it out of the other. Leaves you with not much choice other than chosing the least evil of the two, doesn't it? |

We only have two viable parties in the USA, so if you exclude one entirely you are far from independent. Hey, it's ok IM, you can come out of the closet - you are a democrat. |

I am far from independent? How so? Because as far as I'm concerned, I know I don't like Republicans and I think Democrats can be oretty sneaky as well. Thus, that makes me independent from any political party. I'm not even registered to vote. THAT's how independent I am. remember IM we have been reading your thoughts here for quite some time - you're a democrat! |

Yeah, sure and I'm Santa Claus. You are a (non-voting, unregistered) liberal/socialist. Most Liberals and Socialists in the USA are Democrats. They may call themselves independent and indeed a few are actually independent, but very few, and you are not one of them. When you exclude the only other viable party completely and would never consider voting for a Republican, you are by default a Democrat. It's Ok IM, there is a twelve step program that can help you. Its called "Liberals Anonymous". First step - admit you are powerless over your urge to take from others via confiscatory taxation. Step two - stop living in denial. Step three - read anything by Milton Friedman. Step four..... |

What is your definition of a lie? 1. A false statement deliberately presented as being true; a falsehood. 2. Something meant to deceive or give a wrong impression. |

Dude, I said that I don't vote. The reason being I don't really like either party. You are more than welcome to think I am a Democrat. I'm not going to try to change your way of thinking. I really could care less. |

personally I don't like politicians wasting time on 'nonbinding' resolutions. IMHO, politicians should spend their time working on things that have actual value such as enacting or amending needed laws, negotiating or studying something that needs attention, budgeting, etc. If they merely want to express a viewpoint, then they can issue a press statement and move on. I think voters should get their money's worth of their labour whilst they are 'on the clock' on the public's tab. |

There will always be partisanship and that is why there are two major parties. Given the sour public sentiments on the war and Bush, the Dems will look to maximise on that sentiment and keep it as an albatross over Bush and those Reps in Congress who were fervent "Bush-backers" who rubber stamped Bush until the Dems won Congress. |
