Now you wonder why i dont like COPS! And you wonder why i call them PIGS?
cause they dont really protect you. They rather enforce petty stuff so they stay safe collect their paychecks and see their wife and kids.Hell they wont even bother going into a dangerous neighborhood at night unless theyre called.
I have a good friend who just got "promoted" to detective a couple of months ago. Since then his first job was on sex crimes and child abuse. He had some funny/sad stories of people getting themselves into trouble. He also had some cases of seriously bad people doing bad things. People who needed to be taken out of society. Most recently he was part of the team that found a toddler abandoned in the cold to die.

He transferred to this position from one at an airport, which sounded like one of the easiest jobs possible for a cop.

You obviously don't know what you're talking about (as usual). I've personally had police officers put themselves at risk to protect me, without my even asking. I have no doubt that had someone pointed a gun at me, any one of those fine men and women would have stepped in the way.

Now, just out of curiosity, other than inane threads, delusional babbling, and bad English, what exactly do YOU contribute to society?

But STOP TELLING PEOPLE WHAT TO DO WHEN THEY OWN SOMETHING!! You dont tell a homeowner what you can or cant bring into his own home do you? You dont tell a Store owner what he can or cant sell or what price to put it in his own store do you? Like we own cars. Why should we be forced to buy auto insurance? Why should we be forced to take our cars to emmisson testing and pay $20? And why should we be forced to wear seat belts or helmets of its our life? But No one tells the woman she cant have an abortion its the babys right to live? Whatever happend to THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE? Thats what Abortion people say Its a womans right to choose But the ACLU will never defend you on goverments laws on automobles cause the ACLU isnt for equal rights. Theyre for WOMEN And MINORITES!!
I will likely never be able to comprehend the level of insanity that you deal with daily.

Auto insurance? Are you fucking serious? If you run a light while you're chomping down a Big Mac, and t-bone my car, why shouldn't you have to pay for the damage and the almost certain medical bills?

The rest of your little hissy fit isn't really worth responding to because, well, you're insane...

eating food and drinking liquids is a huge hazard. its 2 hands on the wheel while driving for a reason. you want to eat - pull over. countless times i've seen people driving with just their thighs as they chomp down on a burger - real safe huh
At this point, I have been driving for just under 70 years, Started when I was 8. The point???

I have been involved in three accitents, two of those times I was hit while standing still (once by a Hicago police Car) and the other time it was Icy roads, and the other driver was at fault. ---- More of the point.

I almost NEVER have two hands on the wheel. I did when the vehicles were hard to steer, but nowdays, even without power steering they are not, except ion hazardous roads. I am opposed to many of the so-called safety requirements presently enforced. This includes Kids being forced to ride in the back, Seat belt enforcement, and most certainly all of the things referenced in this thread. These thing should all be governed by common sense, NOT by governmental edict.

I can see, somewhat, where this type of legislation is coming from. Car collisions are a leading cause of death among many young people, and a lot of accidents are simply caused by driver negligence. I am opposed to nanny laws, but this does not seem to be one - I think eliminating as many distractions as possible on the road would seriously lower the amount of accidents occuring a year. I don't think a driver should have a choice to drive safely or not, whereas I think they should be able to wear a seatbelt if they felt like it without penalty.

I don't see how this could be enforced effectively, though. Perhaps this is just a hollow piece of legislation aimed at pleasing worried mothers.
Easy to enforce, jusat give the Cop the option of a ticket or kicking the piss out of Violators!! Hell wait until Hillary the bitch gets elected, as she has a spot tatooed on her BIG ass for all Americans to kiss!!

Well, let's see. I contributed more than 12 years into emergency services. I give blood every time I'm eligible (just shy of 3 gallons so far). I do volunteer work building things - if you go to Georgetown, CO you can see a magnificent playground I had the honor of helping build. I'm active with my homeowners' association.

That's just what came up off the top of my head.

Default US is turning more and more like the old soviet union.
Yes you read it right. Read this link and youll see i call it a communist state.

States seek to ban driving distractions - Yahoo! News

BARRE, Vt. - Put down the flute and keep your eyes on the road.

And forget about sipping that cup of coffee on the way to work, or smoking a cigarette on the way home. In some states, it could soon be illegal — if it isn't already.

Emboldened by the passage of cell phone bans for drivers in some communities, states are turning their attention to other things that drive motorists to distraction.

Vermont lawmakers are considering a measure that would ban eating, drinking, smoking, reading, writing, personal grooming, playing an instrument, "interacting with pets or cargo," talking on a cell phone or using any other personal communication device while driving. The punishment: a fine of up to $600.

Similar bills are under consideration in Maryland and Texas, and Connecticut has passed one that generically bans any activity that could interfere with the safe operation of a motor vehicle.

"Cell phones attracted people to this issue," said Matt Sundeen, a transportation analyst with the National Conference of State Legislatures. "Now that people are more focused on distracted driving issues, they're beginning to talk about the broader range of distractions."

For the sponsor of the Vermont bill, the motivation came from his own observations.

"What finally pushed me over the edge was when I was at a stop sign and somebody opposite me was trying to navigate around the corner with a cell phone to the ear in one hand and a cigarette in the other, and she wasn't doing very well," said Republican state Rep. Thomas F. Koch.

He said his wife recently saw a driver playing the flute, which led him to include the instrument ban in his bill.

"There are a lot of bad habits out on the road. This isn't just for drivers' own good. This is to protect the other people on the road," he said. Here we go again. The goverment is telling us what to do what we bought and paid for.The Goverment is telling us what to wear already.Plus theyre telling us we must buy auto insurance in order to drive. The GOP is the true communist party.Thats why were giving democrats another chance! Maybe somebody should pass our military secrets to Vladimir Putin.Or perhaps why dont we do what the mexicans are doing?,No im not talking about sneaking illegaly into mexico but about sneaking illegaly into canadian border. In canada you get free health care ,Cleaner air and less regalations.Plus its not too hot in canada nether.

Weren't you the one in another thread advocating that the U.S. become like old Soviet Russia simply because a few Russians were 'protesting' in favor of it's return?

I don't see democracy in America.
Parties are changing but the policy stay the same.
So what is the difference among dems and republicans if their policy is the same?..

Lenin was right in that. Lenin was only mistaken in conclusions.
