DENVER - One of four ministers who oversaw three weeks of intensive counseling for the Rev. Ted Haggard said the disgraced minister emerged convinced that he is "completely heterosexual."
Haggard also said his sexual contact with men was limited to the former male prostitute who came forward with sexual allegations, the Rev. Tim Ralph of Larkspur told The Denver Post for a story in Tuesday's edition. "He is completely heterosexual," Ralph said. "That is something he discovered. It was the acting-out situations where things took place. It wasn't a constant thing." NEWS - US NATIONAL - Comcast.net Back in the saddle again! How long will it be before this "person" is once again up in the pulpit spewing hate and collecting money? I find his magical transformation quite remarkable and totally unbelievable--but then I think Rush Limbaugh is a drug-addicted, misogynist demagogue too. |

Oh man, this stuff offends my spirit. Homosexuals aren't evil. This woman who works for Focus on the Family admitted that in her youth she was a full fledged lesbian but that it took her years to overcome it.
What's wrong with some people? Religion is fairy tales. Wake up. Why do some straight people have such a problem with people who aren't like them? This Haggard guy is hilarious. Modern Brokeback and it's a shame because he will die an unhappy and secretly desperate man because he denied what his heart wanted the whole time. Only in America, man. |

The kids in "Jesus Camp" are from Lee's Summit, Missouri, which is about 10 minutes south of me. Their church's website can be found here: About us.
Sometimes, when I need a laugh, I go to their church. It really is quite frightening. The rhetoric of these people is probably akin to what one might hear in a Saudi Arabian madrasah. I've gone to some of their study groups (I have some friends who are friends with people who are members of this church and really believe this shit, so I find myself invited over for Bible study from time to time, and I can never really resist fucking with these insane people), and omifuckingod it's so much worse than you could ever imagine. Now maybe you have some understanding about why I disdain organized religion so much? I've seen what its nihilistic ends look like. . . |

Oh man, you guys have to turn CNN on. This guy Alan Chambers is going on about how he's a "recovering gay"; no gayness for 16 years! He's soooooo gay, too. Only in America. Just for the record, if it makes you happy to sleep with both genders, I could care less, because like religion, it shouldn't be legislated. Practice whatever you practice on your own time.

Here are some more "Christian" people I know from Lee's Summit. Talk about some radical religious beliefs:
