Default Grassroots action in election 2008
What really bothers me is that elected officials and politicians often go mostly unchallenged in their assertions. Those in their party don't question what they say, and those outside of their party disagree with it all no matter what.

So we created a website where people can make rebuttals to politicians' speeches.

Rebutter: Go ahead, make your rebuttal!

If you have some extra time I would really appreciate if you could stop by the site and post a rebuttal. The SOTU is really hot right now.

This site is obviously a very good source of debate. I think Rebutter will be more oriented toward the idea that the average person will become a famous rebutter of presidents and statesmen...

A very good idea. I'll go find some Democratic party statements to go rebutt(sp?). Even though I'm not a Democrat.

It is a good idea for a website. Are you the owner?

The site is good for those who just want to argue against what party politicians say. but I really wish you had included provisions for original arguemnts towards third party attempts. Now that might be worth while.

I did create the site. I too am a 3rd party voter. I hope that as compelling 3rd party candidates emerge, we can put their speeches on Rebutter and let the world see how compelling they are!

BTW, in the interest of building some momentum behind the rebutter community, I'd much appreciate if any of you folks who like the site would jump in and post some stuff and tell some friends about it. It's tough to get the word out!

thanks much!

Touting your own site on this forum is a violation I do believe.

Doh! I didn't realize that. Well, it's not a profit-seeking site. There are no ads or any kind of money thing. It's just an attempt to let the people speak. I cannot tell a lie, I did write the code and I pay for the hosting...
