this is what Biden said:

So, other black candidates are dirty? and inarticulate? dull? If a republican said these things I do believe that there would be an outrage from democrats across the country. Obviously, there is a double standard.

Biden has accomplished his goal though, we are all talking about him.
OK I see. I think the first time I read it I missed "the first".

It's a fanciful theory but fun to entertain when I shell out the money every morning for a pile of newspapers and listen to various media.
Just listen to NPR and read online newspapers

Poor choice of words. Probably not intended to be offensive. Will likely be anyway.

Worse than telling someone to fuck off on the floor of the Senate? Perhaps. But it'll still blow over.
I disagree. even his appology was condecending. and thus mildly racist.

I think he shot himself in the foot, and should forget future political considerations.

The field is getting smaller while it seems to be getting bigger.

Apparently because this is what Rush has spent today talking about.

I don't see what is so offensive about what Biden said. Can someone please explain why that sentence is shocking?
What Biden said came out as tho he was talking about a little grade-school boy. Then he compounded the error with his appologetical speach. It was such a big deal that an African American had reached such promenance??? Really!!!!

Default Biden Has "Foot In Mouth" Disease
He's done it again.....

Mr. Biden is equally skeptical—albeit in a slightly more backhanded way—about Mr. Obama. “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” he said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

New York Observer This is the same guy just a few months back that said southerners would support him because Delaware was a slave state and also stated that "you cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent."

Now, I frankly could give less than two shits that he said any of this because I believe freedom of speech is exactly that, however, the PC Nazi's would go absolutely nuts had these same comments come from a Republican. I predict that since these remarks came from Biden, they will once again get glossed over like the other stuff. Additionally, the fact that his man makes these kind of remarks when running for President displays a complete lack of intellect and thus, has no business sitting in the White House, where he has little chance of ending up anyhow.

Considering this is pretty much my first impression of the man, I have to say this is having a significant impact in what I think of him. You have to play it safe if you want to run for president. These days, that means being well versed and cautious about what is and is not politically correct.

Once you become president, however, apparently you can say about whatever you want.

Biden seems to be having some John Kerry trouble. Meaning his true colors are showing!

I love your avatar by the way!

Let him see the wrath of the Monarch!!

You rush fans never fail, he said the same thing almost word for word about 2 hours ago. Everyday I can count on hearing his remarks regurgitated on these boards

Since you're new here take some advice. Most of us prefer that everyone stick to the topic at hand and not waste our time with childish comments that have nothing to do with what we're talking about.

Your remark also tells me that you too realize that Biden is a complete horse's ass since you avoided making any attempt to defend his boneheaded comments and instead made a lame attempt to attack me for upsetting you with the truth.

Go back to your playpen now.

I Bet you Jessie Jackson Nor Rev Al Sharptons people wont Protest over Bidens comments. But if this was George Bush saying this comment on Obama I bet youll have Jessie Jackson, Rev Al Sharpton along with the NAACP Protesters picketing with signs Bush is a racist. I Bet the Democrats wont force Joe Biden to step down from a commitee. But Oh yeah when Trent Lott made Racist statements on Strom Thurmonds 100th birthday Democrats made him to step down from senate majority leader. You see when Democrats make racist statements nothing gets done to them. Plus i bet the NY TIMES wont put this on the front page headlines. But when a Republican makes a racist comment the NY TIMES would make this a front page headline.Just like when congressman William Jefferson Put $90,000 in Freezer it didnt make the NY TIMES Front page. But if a Republican put $90,000 in Freezer Oh Yeah the NY TIMES would blast this on the front page.So I challenge the NY TIMES put Bidens Biggotry comments on front page or LETS BOYCOTT the NY TIMES By cancelling their subscription.

Rush is spinning this statement on the radio but it won't get traction except with the already converted fan base. What Biden did here, IMO, is the same kind of spin that Rush does for the Reps. Biden characterises a popular Democrat and possible POTUS candidate as 'mainstream' thus it attempts to plant a seed in the public's mind that Obama (and by implication Democrats) are the mainstream whilst, say, black Republicans (and by implication Republicans) are not.

Clearly Joe Biden made these statements in an effort to attract attention to his campaign. He is, after all, running for POTUS!! Apparently, he has accomplished his goal because everyone across the media is talking about his comments.

What does Rush Limbaugh have to do with what Biden said?

What was the big headline, then?

Front page on the NYT is no small matter.

Evidence?

Which part? Treason in the VP's office?

How important is the scandal you're citing relative to that?
