Poor choice of words. Probably not intended to be offensive. Will likely be anyway. I think he shot himself in the foot, and should forget future political considerations. The field is getting smaller while it seems to be getting bigger. |

He's done it again.....
Mr. Biden is equally skeptical—albeit in a slightly more backhanded way—about Mr. Obama. “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” he said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” New York Observer This is the same guy just a few months back that said southerners would support him because Delaware was a slave state and also stated that "you cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent." Now, I frankly could give less than two shits that he said any of this because I believe freedom of speech is exactly that, however, the PC Nazi's would go absolutely nuts had these same comments come from a Republican. I predict that since these remarks came from Biden, they will once again get glossed over like the other stuff. Additionally, the fact that his man makes these kind of remarks when running for President displays a complete lack of intellect and thus, has no business sitting in the White House, where he has little chance of ending up anyhow. |

He's done it again..... Once you become president, however, apparently you can say about whatever you want. |

You rush fans never fail, he said the same thing almost word for word about 2 hours ago. Everyday I can count on hearing his remarks regurgitated on these boards Your remark also tells me that you too realize that Biden is a complete horse's ass since you avoided making any attempt to defend his boneheaded comments and instead made a lame attempt to attack me for upsetting you with the truth. Go back to your playpen now. |

I Bet you Jessie Jackson Nor Rev Al Sharptons people wont Protest over Bidens comments. But if this was George Bush saying this comment on Obama I bet youll have Jessie Jackson, Rev Al Sharpton along with the NAACP Protesters picketing with signs Bush is a racist. I Bet the Democrats wont force Joe Biden to step down from a commitee. But Oh yeah when Trent Lott made Racist statements on Strom Thurmonds 100th birthday Democrats made him to step down from senate majority leader. You see when Democrats make racist statements nothing gets done to them. Plus i bet the NY TIMES wont put this on the front page headlines. But when a Republican makes a racist comment the NY TIMES would make this a front page headline.Just like when congressman William Jefferson Put $90,000 in Freezer it didnt make the NY TIMES Front page. But if a Republican put $90,000 in Freezer Oh Yeah the NY TIMES would blast this on the front page.So I challenge the NY TIMES put Bidens Biggotry comments on front page or LETS BOYCOTT the NY TIMES By cancelling their subscription.

Rush is spinning this statement on the radio but it won't get traction except with the already converted fan base. What Biden did here, IMO, is the same kind of spin that Rush does for the Reps. Biden characterises a popular Democrat and possible POTUS candidate as 'mainstream' thus it attempts to plant a seed in the public's mind that Obama (and by implication Democrats) are the mainstream whilst, say, black Republicans (and by implication Republicans) are not.
