Default US Capitol vandalized!!!
How disgusting are these anti-war protestors.

Anti-war protesters were allowed to spray paint on part of the west front steps of the United States Capitol building after police were ordered to break their security line by their leadership, two sources told The Hill.

According to the sources, police officers were livid when they were told to fall back by U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) Chief Phillip Morse andDeputy Chief Daniel Nichols. "They were the commanders on the scene," one source said, who requested anonymity. "It was disgusting."

After police ceded the stairs, located on the lower west front of the Capitol, the building was locked down, the source added.

A second source who witnessed the incident said that the police had the crowd stopped at Third Street, but were told to bring the police line in front of the Capitol.

Approximately 300 protesters were allowed to take the steps and began to spray paint "anarchist symbols" and phrase such as "Our capitol building" and "you can’t stop us" around the area, the source said.

Morse responded to these claims in an e-mail Sunday afternoon explaining that the protesters were seeking confrontation with the police. Anti-war protesters spray paint Capitol building

Just think if you vote Democrat you support these kinds of people.

First of all, how do you know that the vandals were "anti-war protesters"

Also, how do you know that they were democrats?

The article you link to indicates that they were anarchists, not necessarily democrats or anti-war protesters.

Perhaps you are jumping to a conclusion.

If you do not want people to assume all troops murder civilians because a few have done so then do not try to characterize all that oppose the war by what a few did here. Thank you.

So you know this because Jackie Kucinich said so? Is that the sole reason you claim they were anti-war protesters?

Do you consider Jackie to be an authority on this matter? If so, why?

Hmm. I see no report of vandalism or spray painting anywhere else in the mainstream media. Surely if it were true, FOX News would be all over that aspect of the story. (Not that they always report the truth)

I would tend to say this post seems to be passing along a fabrication.

As opposed to laying blame at the feet of these whacked out liberals who feel defaming our US capital is a good way to express themselves.

That's a good point. I noticed in the article that the police allowed the chaos to go uncontrolled. That's a sure sign that conservatives were in charge of the police forces.

Yeah. Painting on the sidewalk is REALLY going to get some serious respect.

/chuckle

What a way to make a thoughtful, respectable point. Paint on the steps.

How do you know they were democrats and/or liberals? A lot of republicans/conservatices oppose the war. Oh wait its the partisan hatred you are trying to keep going. Great job.

I did that when I was about 10 years old. Then some dumbass tried to remove the graffiti by dumping gasoline on it and setting it afire. Natch, it didn't work.

We got a good laugh out of that.

oh that's right Jesse Jackson, Jane Fonda, Sean Penn, Tim Robins, Susan Sarandon and co are really conservatives in liberal sheeps clothing.

I love watching liberals attempt to dodge the behaviour of their whacked out comrades by saying 'how do you know they were liberal/democrats'

So far in this thread the whacked out liberals have gone from denying that the event ever took place to saying it could have been conservative republicans. Wonder what they'll say next.

Well don't post you lame ass threads if you don't want opinions and speculation. You refer to everyone that offered an opinion as liberals, but what you forget is we all think for ourselves, so we probably will have different ideas. Unlike the republican sheep that can't think for themselves and just keep repeating the same things over...and over...and over.

Well duh, they carried signs protesting the war.

What made you think they were pro-war?

So you admit to speculating on something you have no understanding of? It's good that you can admit this. Now if you can just learn to research things for yourself. That may include reading, or listening, to someone you don't agree with to gain a different perspective; but trust me it's well worth the while.

People do have differing opinions, yep. Apparently, this whole war has sparked a lot of hate and resentment between each other, which isn't helping squat. This is why there will never be peace. It's sad, really.

Can you name for us the Democrats and liberals that support the war?

Other than Joe Lieberman, that is.
