But it's important to take a stand against abortion, and to force the Democrats to allow more pollution. It's unfair to say that the President is "squabbling" with the Congress, since he agreed to their original $33 billion number. One of the top Tea Party people was on Chris Matthews last night, and he said the Tea Pea's don't have a dog in the cultural war fight. Than why not drop the war on women, pass the fucking resolution already and then CLAIM VICTORY?!!! Easy answer: because it's not about the budget, no matter how many times Boehner insists it is. If this were truly about the budget and not about social conservatives having a revolution, the thing would have passed already. I'm happy that one side believes in the EPA and that our food should be inspected before we consume it. No-fucking-brainer right there.... |

Allow more pollution, oh that's right you don't want industry or jobs in this country, nor any oil drilling as you would rather us send 500 billion to other countries and all the jobs that go with it. Sure go and kill babies and send our jobs overseas. |

If the government shuts down at midnight tonight due to the utter failure of Congress to get their shit together, don't fret. |

I think we could save alot of money with this government shut-down. 800,000 federal workers--get an unpaid vacation. And yes you're right congress and the President shouldn't be paid either--especially democrats--who should have had this budget put together last year on October 1, 2010. It would be nice if we could retroactive their pay to back then--and they could refund it back to the treasury. Soldiers' families going without paychecks! Yay!!!! Taxpayers' refund checks being delayed! Yay!!!! Taxpayer-owned facilities inaccessible to the taxpayer! Yay!!!! Fucking brilliant. |

The reason we don't have a budget is the Dem's do not want to cut Planned Parenthood. Simple as that. If it was about money the deal would have been agreed to a long time ago. This is all about the Dem's not wanting to cut money from Planned Parenthood. Way to try to reverse the argument though. |

Exactly. The President most certainly was playing the same silly games as Congress: WASHINGTON -- President Obama promised on Thursday to veto a House Republican bill that would keep the government open for one extra week and cut $12 billion in spending, while also funding the military through the remainder of the fiscal year. Obama had dismissed the gesture in private meetings and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) called the measure a "fantasy" and a "non-starter," but Thursday's veto threat was the president's clearest signal that the House Republican stopgap is doomed.
