Everyone this is news I just heard on Fox News--no link as yet. Apparently another bill was introduced stripping the financial out of the union bill--and not requiring a democrat to be present. The State legislature in Wisconsin didn't take any time in moving that forward. Democrat politicians hiding out in another state got caught with their pants down on this one and as soon as they found out about this manuver are now racing back across the border in an effort to stop it. They didn't make it--and the bill is now passed.
More information will be coming up on this tonight & I will give the link. But the good news is that the State of Wisconsin now has an opportunity to get control of their state budget--and the government workers union has lost the big one. Wisconsin has basically turned into a right to work state joining the majority of other states in this nation. According to today's article the major sticking point in negotiation in all of this was that the union would not agree to members being allowed a choice as to whether or not to join the union. In the past they were forced too--if they worked for the state government. Here is today's article which does not include the above as yet. Now we see if the hard workers of Wisconsin bend over and take it, or if the fucking people actually do something to stand up against these servants of the wealthy.
"harhar, times are rough, so let's cut taxes on the wealthy and get our money from the backbone of our society, the teachers. And let's screw them on collective bargaining too, harhar" I will love to see what Wisconsin does. If they wanna take it, they deserve it. |

Interesting. Again--the sticking point in the negotiation was the union still insisting on forced membership. I think that finally sent Governor Walker and the state legislature over the edge--and they did this manuver. No one should be "forced" to join a union. Bascially--taxpayer dollars going to government workers--dues to the union were automatically deducted from their pay-checks. And to me--there is something wrong with that picture. |

I really don't think the state of Wisconsin can be considered wealthy since they are looking down the barrel at a 3.6 BILLION dollar deficit. Tax breaks for businesses while then extorting benefits and money out of the hard working backbone of Wisconsin, gotta love conservatives. |

I wish it was the democrats getting worked over, unfortunately it is the common working people getting fucked while the rich, again, catch all the breaks. |

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or just didn't comprehend my post. I am assuming the later, based on what I've seen from you. |

No it was the tax payer that was getting screwed by the union teachers. I guess you could call all the tax payers rich, they are the ones that pay the bills while the other 40% don't pay any taxes. The other 40% that make the country run? I mean, which of the low pay public sector jobs do you think we should do without? I'd rather have teachers, police and firefights than the next coolest design on my sweater. But according to you, it is the businesses that are AWESOME and sadly have to pay taxes for the leeching teachers and police and firefighters, grrr. There is a reason we don't let the IMPORTANT jobs left up to supply and demand (ie exploitation). We'll see how the people of Wisconsin respond. They brought this upon themselves by voting in a tea party governor (what the fuck did they think would happen?) But there are tools to remedy it, it is up to them. |

This tactic was obviously illegal, otherwise they would have used it at the outset. It broke the 24-hour public meeting law in Wisconsin, and it broke the the law requiring a quorum for all budget-related bills. It'll never stand.
So the Republicans resorted to an obviously illegal tactic to push through a bill that has very little support in the state and evokes outrage in the majority of voters. They used outrageous tactics to pass their outrageous bill. At the very best, a short-term, pyrrhic "victory." Think it's going to come back to bite them? Yeah, I reckon. The American public is finally, finally waking up to what modern-day Republicans are really all about. |

Are you in the dark or what. What tax breaks for businesses? Please explain. I want to hear this. Over 100 million in cuts, reportedly. I have faith that fox news would debunk the claim if it was b.s. |

Businesses got the tax breaks, or did you neglect that like your bud? |
