We next looked to see if Walker has proposed tax cuts for corporations.
We found Walker has already signed bills that cut taxes for corporations. Walker signed a law on Jan. 31 that says that companies that relocate to Wisconsin will not have to pay corporate taxes for two years. The law stipulates that the company must move at least 51 percent of the workers on its payroll or at least those who account for $200,000 in wages. Walker also signed into law a bill that gives small tax breaks to companies that create jobs. It’s debatable whether these could fairly be considered "giveaways," since they are intended to reward companies for creating jobs. But Walker proposed additional tax breaks for business during the campaign for governor. PolitiFact Wisconsin documented those promises on PolitiFact’s Walk-O-Meter, a database of Walker’s campaign promises. That includes reducing taxes on employers and repealing the "combined reporting" requirement for business taxes, a measure that increased tax revenues and was approved in 2009. "If you elect me as your next governor, I’ll get government out of the way and lower the tax burden so Wisconsin business owners and factories can create 250,000 jobs and 10,000 businesses in our state by 2015," said Walker during the campaign. We also found that Walker told the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce during the campaign that he supported efforts to repeal the corporate income tax. Though it’s a fine distinction, we should note that we were not able to find statements from Walker proposing a repeal, so it’s not a promise listed in the Walk-O-Meter database. Brazile said, "The (Wisconsin) governor has proposed tax giveaways to corporations." The tax breaks he signed into law were linked to job growth, which means they were not necessarily "giveaways." But he has proposed lower taxes for all businesses. And he’s supported those tax cuts even in the face of a tight budget, saying they would lead to job growth. Because Brazile gets Walker’s basic position on business taxes right -- he wants them lower -- we rate her statement Mostly True. PolitiFact | Donna Brazile said that the Wisconsin governor proposes tax breaks for business In an immediate budget hell and you CUT taxes. Woot. Cut taxes on the wealthy and fuck the workers. amirite? |

This tactic was obviously illegal, otherwise they would have used it at the outset. It broke the 24-hour public meeting law in Wisconsin, and it broke the the law requiring a quorum for all budget-related bills. It'll never stand. It's hell to get beat at your own game. The fact is the WI Governor was being nice trying to do it in front of everyone, he always had this avenue from day one. But he put it off until now. He's moving on. Good for him and good for the tax payer. |

PolitiFact | Donna Brazile said that the Wisconsin governor proposes tax breaks for business He made some campaign promises. Big whoop. He's a politician. At LEAST half of those promises are total horseshit and you know it. Shall we start counting Obama's kept promises vs his made ones? Or Pelosi's or *insert any politician EVER here*? Cause that shit could go all night. You've cited 2 decent economic moves and a politician spewing some hot air. Who's side are you on anyway? |

Are you in the dark or what. What tax breaks for businesses? Please explain. I want to hear this. Guess it is obvious who was in the dark now. Enjoying your new facts? Now, like I said, facing an immediate budget crisis they decided to decrease corporate revenue, and instead extorted the money from hard working, contracted, working men and women.

Holy fuck, you aren't really saying he waited this long out of kindness? How brainwashed can you be? So how brainwashed are you. Now you tell me why he waited. But I know you have no clue, just like the tax question that you can't give specifics on. You just run around making comments you can't back up. You're beginning to really bore me. |

We told you why he waited, it wasn't a legal option. He wants to now take his chances in the courts since he is taking a beating in the polls, already capitulated on an issue (rejected by dems, why do that if he had all the power all along? Oh nice guy, right).
Thinking he waited because he is nice is the kind of naivety I envy. |

" I have always said and it has come true repeatedly, you liberals could care less about American jobs. You don't give a shit how many people are out of work. |

Actually, what we are discussing is if there were tax breaks to businesses or not, not his reasoning for giving the tax breaks. We can discuss the merit of business vs teacher, but the FACT, that you wasted so much time on, is that he has, and openly is a proponent of, cutting taxes on corporations while there is an immediate budget problem.
If you want to argue if it is a good idea or not, business vs teacher, we can do that. How are these facts tasting for you? |

If you think this is over, you're living in dreamland. Two steps follow. First, follow through with the recall move. Second, challenge the law in court.
It's also an issue on a nationwide level. Backlash city, here we come. Republicans in Wisconsin just committed political suicide. What remains to be seen is if the national GOP will join them, but even if they don't this whole situation has energized the left big time. This is exactly what was needed. Now comes the fire. |

Will he had the option all along and he did not use it until now, why did he do this? If you can make an apeshit crazy claim like that (attributing it as fact) I'm not going to feel too bad making an educated guess based on the fact that his poll numbers went to hell, he PROPOSED a compromise to the democrats and the TIME it has taken. Still beats the hell out of making a factual assertion that he did it cause he's nice lol. I mean, at least back your ridiculous factual statements with substance before criticizing others. |

I hope so! The conservative propaganda in this country is out of control, but I have so much hope right now. Don't overestimate "conservative propaganda." It's not as powerful as you think. |
