I haven't paid close attention to the case, but I think that a funeral is a private matter, even if performed on public land, and while any wingnut has a right to protest, the family does not have a responsibility to hear it.

Yep, free speech allows us to hear stuff we strongly disagree with and even detest. That is the price, which isn't too great of a price really.

I am a Liberal, the old time kind, and since I don't want to censor speech that means I must not be a Progressive. Not really sure what the defintion of Progressive is, but apparently it includes the belief in censoring speech. Must be part of their platform.

Once you limit, you open the door for futher limitations. Like, you can say anything you want, AS LONG as you do it in our own home, with all doors and windows shut. Ok, a big stretch, but you get the point.

Hey man, I despise Farrakhan, and I think the Nation of Islam is full of shit, but honestly, I've never seen either of them do something equivalent to protesting funerals.

Granted, if you know of something they've done that would match that (or top it), feel free to share. I wouldn't be surprised if they have, but I honestly am not aware of something associated with them that would fit that description.
