It has been said that Obama's speech tonight will be a "defining moment" for him. So what is your prediction? Will he use this grief filled moment to take a stab at the other party in carefully veiled terms? I'll have to read it tomorrow, I can't stand to hear the man speak.
And will Zoro make an appearance? |

Obama has a habit of starting out on the right path but then goes on and on and on....like he enjoys the sound of his own voice. Inevitably he ends up stepping on his own toes while in this "reverie".
I sincerely hope that he does pull this off. I would really, really like for him to do something that doesn't drive another wedge into the political discourse. |

Although, I do have to say, since perception is so much of what happens, how I wonder if something might be said that some people are going to jump on as bashing the right, but will be unclear enough that nobody will be able to say for sure. And will Zoro make an appearance? |

I hope the President tonight take the opportunity to remind us all that despite the problems we may have with the way our gov't runs, that our established laws and that our system of gov't is not a real threat to the people. That the voices out there that insist on trying to convince us that our establishment is oppressive to the people are wrong, and that there is much more to be concerned about by anti-establishment vitriol and actions than anything the gov't has ever actually done to us.
If it is indeed a defining moment for him as President, the way it was for President Clinton after the Oklahoma bombing, than it must be said by him tonight that we should all be able to agree that our establishment is essentially good despite the cynicism we sometimes bring to thinking about it. In his acceptance speech, he said something to the effect that although we have 2nd Amendment rights, that surely we can balance this with sensible gun control so that it is ultimately difficult to almost impossible for guns to get in the hands of people who shouldn't have them in the first place. |

Does anyone really need to be told how to feel after a nutbob twists off? And to be honest, I hope he keeps it clean tonight. |

This ought to be something else....It seems that they are handing out souvenir T-shirts for this memorial event.
