Couple has a TORNADO as uninvited guest to their wedding

Most blushing brides fear rain on their wedding day, but Candra Pence had to compete for the attention at her ceremony when a
tornado touched down just a few miles away from their Kansas nuptials.

Candra, who is from Nebraska and had never seen a tornado before her wedding Saturday afternoon, and her new husband
Caleb had just finished saying their vows outside a farmhouse when they looked down the aisle and saw a very distinct tornado
in the distance.

She and her guests took it in stride, however, and gamefully posed for the wedding photographer with the looming disaster in the
background.

Though it seemed close, the tornado was actually 8 miles away. Her groom and his family, who are all much more familiar with the
area and its inherent weather concerns, brushed off the frets as they told the local Fox affiliate that they had been tracking the
storm by radar reports for the days leading up to the ceremony.

'It's just Kansas, it's who we are: wheat fields, cowboys and tornados- what more could you ask for!' mother of the groom Carla
Pence said.

All three were in full force at the Pence wedding, as the groom wore a cowboy hat and the bridesmaids- and bride- wore cowboy boots
under their matching turquoise dresses.

The tornado was not simply a pretty backdrop, however, as it did cause serious damage to parts of Harper County.
