Apparently he was killed in a "mansion" near Pakistan's capitol. His son was also killed along with a woman who was apparently used as a "shield".

Figures that a coward like him would go out using a woman as a shield. And in a "mansion"? What happened to all those caves he supposedly lived in???

My thoughts this morning are with those who lost their lives on 9/11/2001, and with the courageous first responders, those who died trying and those who rushed into the towers to rescue those they could and stayed to find those they couldn't.

In an attempt to release the news of Osama bin Laden’s death quickly late Sunday night, MSNBC correspondent Norah O’Donnell accidentally reported on Twitter that “Obama” had been “killed” instead.

“Obama shot and killed,” Norah O’Donnell posted on Twitter, citing NBC Chief Pentagon Correspondent Jim Miklaszewski as her source.

It was announced Sunday that Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind behind the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, was killed by American forces. President Obama addressed the nation to deliver the news around 11:30 p.m. ET.

U.S. officials said the helicopter raid in Pakistan was carried out by CIA paramilitaries together with the elite Navy SEAL Team Six. The U.S. team took custody of bin Laden's remains, which American officials said were being handled in accordance with Islamic tradition. So, it was SEAL Team 6. I hope the SEAL that put the fatal bullet in Bin Laden's head told him who they were and that this was justice for all those he killed on September 11, 2001 before he pulled the trigger.
