I think it's a healthy pattern that legislators in their 70's and 80's who have been in Congress for a generation or longer opt to step down and let some younger candidates take their shot. We saw a lot of this in the election pendulum swings of the 90's and 00's. It's good that we're still doing it.

Win or lose, I'm ready for the Ms. Pelosi to step down. She's had a good run but it's time for some new blood.
