And to an electorate filled with fear, embittered at the loss of their power, and driven mad by their obsession to reclaim their power, yea, their very societal and racial dominance, Barack Obama’s election is sacrilege; an intrusion into the sacred order that demands his complete and total political obliteration. And the very thought of his being reelected is one that fills them all with fearful, psychotic rage.

President Obama on Saturday bashed Congressional Republicans for failing to prevent teacher layoffs made by cash-strapped state and local governments.

In his weekly address Obama noted that education employment has fallen by 300,000 jobs since 2009. He pushed for Congress to help stem the job losses and called the Republican approach to education financing “backwards” and “wrong.”

“The economic plan that almost every Republican in Congress voted for would make the situation even worse. It would actually cut funding for education — which means fewer kids in Head Start, fewer teachers in our classrooms and fewer college students with access to financial aid — all to pay for a massive new tax cut for millionaires and billionaires.

My daughter had a head start. Her father taught her how to read before she ever entered kindergarten.

But the HeadStart program has never achieved anything. Children who go through the program show no improvement over kids who don't.

And the reason is simple. Because HeadStart was put into place to overcome parents and peer groups who look down upon, or at least ignore, academic achievement, but HeadStart is not strong enough to jump that hurdle. Your family, and your peer group, defines you. And no program is powerful enough to overcome that.

well you DO NOT deserve KUDOS for doing what EVERY PARENT is supposed to do Jeshu!!!..and i do not agree that Head start was put in place for parents who look down upon and ignore academic achievement ON THE CONTRARY they wanted their children to have a HEAD START on academic achievement..... but unfortunately they have to WORK and didnt have the time to do it themselves...

NO PROGRAM OR ENTITLEMENT will overcome OVERWORKED parents .. but at least with the kids in HEADSTART.. the parents wont have to QUIT their job n go on the public dole!!!! so ITS A GREAT PROGRAM if for only that reason........so
