Default Withholding...
If you could just get rid of withholding taxes, you'd have it licked.

It's a boiled frog. People don't notice how much they are forced to give away.

It would immediately make it easier to start a business.

Forget all the work that an employer has to do on the government's behalf...

If I could just pay someone cash? Nothing beyond their paycheck?

I could pay them very well.. Do it on the spot and make them responsible for the taxes on their own wages?

That'd be GREAT.. No other obligations or expenses?

Let's go!

I'm their defacto tax collector.. Along with million other things.

Fuck all that.. Just let me hire someone.. I'll pay them.. W2 them..

And you deal with them.. It's THEIR tax burden.. Not mine.

I wasn't even working from that angle, but it's a great one.

Talk about a policy that would actually create jobs.

I was initially thinking about how people would react if there was no withholding, and they just got a lump sum bill at the end of the year. They'd flip out.

Somebody who knew what they were doing? I'd hand them 25 to 30 an hour.. And just GO HOME..

Or sit in the office and play on the computer.. They get a really good job..

I get out from under all the nonsense.

If you could hire people when you needed them, without all the hassle.. That'd be a gold mine. For everyone.

It hinders business formation, hiring, and expansion, in the first place, and it also costs the employees and/or the customers money, because at a certain point you have to hire someone to deal with all of this bullshit...

I am paying for the office manager at my company to collect taxes, administer the insurance plan, etc, etc...

That's coming out of profits that could go to me and the other profitable employees.

So, essentially, I am being charged to tax myself...What the fuck?!?

At sixty bucks a flat rate hour.. You could hand someone half of that, and nothing else.. No other obligations.. And make 30 for doing nothing.

That would be awesome..

People aren't responsible enough to take a percentage off their wages for savings, emergency and educations funds. How will the gov ever collect their money?

And, would we be eliminating all the welfare that Uncle Sam is giving them for having all those brats?

If so, yea, those people will be flipping the fuck out.

They have no worries.. No capital investment.. No legal hassles.. No nothing aside from showing up and being awesome at their job..

And you have 30 bucks an hour.. No touch..

But you get to deal with the hassles. The capital investment.. The insurance.. The mortgage.. The customers... Etc.
