Default How much of the left's agenda is actually set by the forces they claim to oppose?
Example: Radical Environmentalism..

We know that Wall Street and other business interests stand to make a fortune here.. Al Gore hoped to become the world's first carbon billionaire. We know that wealthy energy companies and interests positioned themselves as rent seekers in the world of new, higher cost electricity.

They even wanted to re-distribute these carbon credits globally, thereby taxing first world countries to finance infrastructure in third world countries.

There's a lot of money in many of their causes if you're positioned properly.

They claim to hate folks like Mitt and Bain Capital, but who do they think would profit from such a thing the most?

I know the foot soldiers are sincere in their beliefs.. But those at the top? I think it's about the money.

I've found that following the money will explain nearly anything in politics.. I think it's true here also.

Can you think of other examples?

Not quite on topic, but I just had a thought...

How many sensationalistic, environmentalist authors deny themselves the profits derived from their work?

Plus, imagine all of the processes involved in getting a best-selling book to market.

You see this time and again, on the left.

They idolize some capitalist who is selling them exactly what they want to buy...

They can't see it. It's hilarious.

Bruce Springsteen make millions and millions of dollars selling leftists the songs that they want to hear...
