Geeez, two days ago you and Jes were ready to lock and load and start shooting. WTF? I'm not one who is normally given to violent revolution.. That's a last resort for many reasons. Not the least of which is international.. Can you imagine what the world would do watching the US slip into chaos? There's only two authorities here which can offer sufficient promises to prevent international action.. The elected government and the US military. Domestically, what's you're really talking about is a coup.. And it would be very difficult to predict who would come out on top of that one and why.. and how. My guess is the US military would eventually end up in charge.. and what would happen next is anyone's guess. Then there's the economic fallout.. it would be global. We may never regain our former influence. For those reasons, I believe a violent overthrow is a bad idea.. Reserved as an absolute last resort. |

I did? Revolution can be violent or peaceful. After all, the libtards have taken over the country peacefully. |

It's ASSUMED that, as reasonable men, we'd just take over. Sit down.. Talk.. Agree.. And a better union would result.
This is possible in theory, but.. In application? I'm not nearly as certain.. And once there is a single revolution, there can be more.. And plenty of people and groups, states even, would be willing to finance such an endeavor if they believed it were a valid option and on the table. It's a very bad idea.. Look at the fall of Rome.. That was nearly a black comedy. |

I agree and thats what I have said to Jeshu several times. I thought you had sided with him in an earlier thread. My mistake if you did not. Additionally, successful revolutions begin with ideas.. Not just blind hate. Blind hate drives lynch mobs.. Not successful political movements. It would take a popular, national network of the like minded to accomplish such a revolution.. But if you had that, you wouldn't need the guns. You could do it democratically, reserving weapons in the event that the powers that be refused to relinquish their posts in the face of a legitimate, democratic loss. |

I may mouth off sometimes.. But my actual opinion on armed revolution hasn't varied much. |

"Okay, little people. March behind me! We'll take on the evil majority and make our voices heard!!!" |
