Because it's absolutely imperative that the Republican nominee denounce the entire concept of Government forcing you to buy things as unconstitutional... Because it IS Unconstitutional.
When Obama challenged the Court, he was slapped around by the Right for overstepping. In 's case, it would be viewed as far worse. If the SCOTUS says it's Constitutional, on what grounds can he say they're wrong?

You & I may not like it, but you can't ignore what the Court ruled. Nor can . He isn't an authority on these things. The best he can do is overturn it. He can't go on record calling out the SCOTUS when he has no expertise in the matter.

Nobody liked it when Obama started running his mouth off about what doctors should and shouldn't do, because he's not a doctor. 's neither a lawyer nor a Constitutional authority. He's doing the right thing by saying it's bad policy.

The Republican Party is supposed to support the Constitution.. They say they do.

Their nominee can't go along with this notion of Government making you buy shit and remain credible.

if thats so then Bush shouldnt have done this.
Almost, but not this time. The fall out could be epic, but where will Obama point the finger this time? No, no, no, Obama will have to own this one.

It's not constitutional for the government to force people to buy shit it thinks they "need"
Huh? I personally think its a terrible decision. Roberts showed hes a pussy who can be intimidated. obammy learned his chicago thug tactics worked. If obammy is re-elected then its all over.

I just don't understand what you expect from . He is a politician trying to get elected.

Then he falls right in line with the SC.

Whats to be gained by him spouting "unconstitutional" in the face of a SC ruling saying its not?
Nothing. Except people will think he's a buffoon for calling it that when the SCOTUS disagrees with him. And then he will alienate people, and lose, and we face 4 more years of Obama pushing through shit worse than this. Is that what people want, just to be happy to hear says "unConstitutional" when the verdict is in?

Are you fucking kidding me?

You & I may not like it, but you can't ignore what the Court ruled. Nor can . Oh yes he can! He most certainly can.. If he wins the Senate, he can pack that court. It's absolutely Constitutional.

The Constitution does not say how many justices comprise the SC.. He can increase it to 12 and fix this bullshit once and for all.

But he won't, because he's not a Conservative and is no particular friend of the Constitution.

He can't go on record calling out the SCOTUS when he has no expertise in the matter. That's just stupid.

How is Mitt supposed to fight the SCOTUS? He's not even the nominee yet.

Both parties think they support the Constitution.

It's unacceptable to hold this view.. If he would have said that on the debate stage he wouldn't be the nominee today.

"Sure, if the Court says government can force you to buy stuff.. Then it's most certainly constitutional!"

He would have lost.

As it stands right now...at this minute in time...SCOTUS is the determiner of constitutional or not.

would be classified with the birthers and the truthers if he insisted on screaming "unconstitutional" in every statement.

Not saying I agree with him or the ruling...its simply the way things are.

My favorite line from "Platoon"...

"Theres the way things should be and the way things are."

He won't win if he says "It's unConstitutional" and can't articulate why that is. "They may end up making us buy shit we don't want to buy in 10 years" isn't going to work. You know that.

Be mad at Obama and the Democrats and the people who voted for Obama. This isn't about .

WE HAVE A RENEGADE FEDERAL

GOVERNMENT, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN...

ALL THREE BRANCHES COLLUDE TO LOOT AND

OPPRESS THE PEOPLE.

WE OUGHT TO PUT A STOP TO IT...

GIVEN THE LACK OF A

PRESIDENTIAL CHALLENGER IN 2012,

WE MUST BEGIN BY REFORMING

THE CONGRESS, WHICH IS KEY IN ANY

CASE...

WE HAVE A ROTTEN COURT THAT

COOPERATES WITH A ROTTEN CONGRESS...

...AND AN ASSHOLE IN THE WHITEHOUSE.

IT'S A THREE-LEGGED SHIT-STOOL...

LET'S KICK THE CONGRESSIONAL LEG OUT

FROM UNDER IT THIS YEAR.

FUCK ROMNEY. HE'S WORSE THAN USELESS.
